Bee-otch of the Day: Trump (re: Jimmy Kimmel)

Summarizing today's podcast...

*Once again, Chuck gives a brief history of the FCC and how it evolved from working for the people to working for big corporations and the religious right.

*Jimmy Kimmel's late night talk show has been suspended by ABC because of comments he made regarding the MAGA people calling Charlie Kirk's alleged assassin a leftist. FCC commissioner Brendan Carr went on a radio show hosted by a Kirk ally stating that he will clamp down on Kimmel and two TV station owners ended up yanking his show. As a result, ABC indefinitely suspended Kimmel.

*Chuck reminded people that the shooter was from an ultra-conservative, gun-toting home and that his family was Mormon. Chuck feels that Mormonism is a cult.

*One of the companies that pulled Kimmel, Sinclair, says that they will not put him back on the air until he donates to both Kirk's widow and his organization, Turning Point USA. Nexstar, meanwhile, is in the middle of a $6.2 billion buyout of TEGNA, and they're trying to make nice with Trump. Besides, they own NewsNation, the cable network formerly known as the national feed of WGN-TV Chicago. It is the current employer of Bill O'Reilly.

*The Kirk family is worth $12 million. They are not broke and Kimmel doesn't owe them anything, especially an apology.

*People are boycotting Disney and ABC. Chuck saw several screenshots on Facebook of people canceling their Disney + subscriptions.

*Trump lied to his followers that he would protect the First Amendment.

*While Kimmel is pulled by ABC, Fox News's Brian Kilmeade is telling viewers that homeless people need to be euthanized. Chuck knows a homeless man and he was a Trump supporter. He also reminds people that there are homeless people who work a normal job, but can't afford a home.

*Here in Michigan, a Republican lawmaker has drafted a bill that would ban all internet porn in the state. The congressman, Josh Shriver is notoriously anti-LGBTQ and racist. Plus, he's from Oxford, the same town where a mass school shooting occurred. Chuck thinks it's sad when a lawmaker would rather protect all people from pornography while kids are being shot at.

*Shriver is allies with former state rep Neil Friske, who was busted for trying to shoot a dancer from Lansing's Deja Vu strip club in his house last year. Friske's father, Richard, fought with the Nazis in WWII and was a congressman himself who was notoriously racist.

*Chuck tips his hat to Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who is allowing anyone to get a COVID shot against the federal government's wishes.

*Chuck reminds people that people will rebel against those who punish. When KLQ dumped Stern and GRD beefed up its rock, KLQ died a slow, pitiful death. Ditto with Conan O'Brien and how NBC treated him.

*Chuck wonders if Howard Stern will talk about Kimmel on Monday's show. He's been avoiding talking about Trump and even the Charlie Kirk assassination.

*In the end, Chuck reminds those who try to censor freedom of speech that karma wins every time.

Bee-otch of the Day: Trump (for blaming Charlie Kirk's death on the left)

Summarizing today's podcast...

*Trump is blaming Wednesday's murder of Charlie Kirk on liberals. But, the suspect in the incident is a Trump supporter.

*Trump has a history of blaming the tragedies that occurred during his presidency on the left and former President Biden.

*Trump's policies are shutting down factories including west Michigan.

*Chances are that Skydance - who recently bought Paramount for $8 billion - will buy Warner Bros. Discovery. Trump's policies are designed to allow for more mergers. Skydance owns CBS and if the WBD deal is approved, they'll now own CNN.

*Trump did a photo op with the New York Yankees on 9/11. MeidasTouch Podcast host Ben Meiselas - who was Colin Kaepernick's lawyer - labeled the Yankees sellouts. Chuck thinks that the Tigers intentionally lost Thursday's game to make Trump happy.

Bee-otch of the Day: Charlie Kirk

Summarizing today's podcast...

*Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. Chuck talks about how life changed since that day.

*Conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was assassinated at an event at a university in Utah. He leaves behind a wife and two daughters who are a toddler and an infant.

*Nobody as of the podcast has been arrested. Trump made major cuts to the FBI, which is making things more difficult. Even worse was why Trump fired the Utah head of the FBI.

*Yesterday evening, Trump made a speech blaming liberals for Kirk's death because they labeled him a "Nazi". The truth is, nobody knows who really killed Kirk yet.

*Kirk was notoriously anti-LGBTQ+ because of the same book in the Bible that prohibits the consumption of shrimp, getting a tattoo and having sex with a woman on her period.

*On one of Kirk's last interviews on Fox News Channel, he told Laura Ingraham that liberal women don't want to have sex with men because of their lifestyle.

*Kirk had a happy childhood, which might have led to him being an ultra-conservative. He was one of the stars of the lie-filled propaganda film "2000 Mules" which was recalled after a lawsuit.

*Trump is giving Kirk a hero's treatment by giving him the Presidential Medal of Freedom and flying his body back to Arizona on Air Force Two. Chuck is outraged.

*Chuck touched on Trump's birthday card to Jeffery Epstein.

*Chuck thinks he knows who killed Charlie Kirk.

*Kirk's show aired on WMKT 1270 in Charlevoix, which is owned by Trish MacDonald-Garber. Chuck said that the two were made for each other.

*Flags are flying half-mast for Kirk. Chuck said that if he had a flagpole, he would fly it upside down and at full mast.

Bee-otch of the Day: Rupert Murdoch (for lying about Howard Stern)

Summarizing today's podcast...

*Howard Stern was back on his radio show today and straightened out the rumors regarding him being "fired" from SiriusXM. The truth is that negotiations between him and the satellite radio company are going well.

*The rumors regarding his dismissal were started by The U.S. Sun, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch, who also owns Fox News Channel and other sources of tabloid media.

*Howard claimed that he was off last week due to a cold he claimed he got from a Maren Morris concert. The reason why he didn't address the cancelation rumors when he was doing a special broadcast this past summer was because he felt better announcing it after he got back from his break.

*Howard talked about being fired for being "woke". He pointed out that there's people on both political sides who have shows on SiriusXM. Chuck says that when he has Coldplay or Maroon 5 on the show, he changes the channel. But, he still prefers Stern over most local morning shows such as Bob and Tom.

*Chuck mentioned that the reason for the show no longer featuring strippers is because of Howard's love of his wife, Beth. Chuck mentioned that the last time he was in a serious relationship, he wasn't turned on by most other women because his heart belonged to his girlfriend. Because of this, Chuck thinks it was a huge reason why Howard and his ex-wife, Allison divorced.

*Howard told his audience that if you want the truth about him, ask him. Chuck agreed. It led to Chuck talking about how depressing his life was in northern Michigan, and being forced to listen to lame radio stations like WKLT and the first two years of 95.5 The Zone only made things worse. When The Zone adjusted their format in 2000 to carry more nu metal, someone begged Chuck to give the station's programming director the Bee-otch of the Day, claiming that he was her ex-husband and that she had drug problems. Chuck turned it down, because he refuses to be a mark for WKLT.

*Chuck says that the reason why Murdoch and other media groups attack Stern is because of jealousy.

*In the end, Chuck said that people need to start relying on news sources that tell the truth and not liars like Murdoch or even corporate media. If Howard is smart, he would sue Murdoch.

Bee-otch of the Day: Trump (for calling the Epstein files a Democrat hoax)

Summarizing today's podcast...

*Chuck gives his opinion regarding Howard Stern not returning to his show Monday. He hopes that if he retires, he'll still make appearances and not be another Johnny Carson.

*Some complain that Howard has become too liberal in recent years. Chuck points out that even though Sen. Bernie Sanders told the FCC to leave Howard alone in the 1990s, Howard never cared for his politics. He has 650 million reasons why.

*Yesterday, several survivors of Jeffery Epstein stood in a press conference supporting a measure to release all of the files with zero redactions. Meanwhile, president Trump called the idea a "Democrat hoax".

*Chuck compares the bill to England's Operation Yewtree, which was created after it was discovered that beloved media personality Jimmy Savile had sexually assaulted hundreds of people. The operation destroyed the careers of Gary Glitter and Rolf "Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport" Harris. Like Epstein's victims, Savile threatened his victims with legal action if they said anything.

*Savile was caught molesting a 16-year-old girl on a 1977 episode of Top of the Pops. What he said on camera after he did so was very similar to what Trump said years later.

*Savile's downfall triggered the downfall of Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby. Chuck thinks that Weinstein's problems stemmed from his mother bullying him as a child.

*Reps Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert are supporting the measure. One of the Epstein survivors, now a podcast host, is working with other survivors to create their own Epstein list. Greene wants to announce the list on the Capitol floor. Chuck thinks that in the end, Greene will find a way to screw Epstein's victims over since she's a notorious traitor.

*Donald Trump has an issue with his hands. It could be very serious.

Bee-otch of the Day: Trump (for having an idiot health secretary)

In this podcast, King Chuck talks about...

*This was both a bad and good week for rock radio.

*A man was caught pleasuring himself at a KoRn concert at Metlife Stadium.

*Mudvayne has released their first single in 16 years. Its title led to Chuck talking about the recent tragedy in Minneapolis.

*Trump's health secretary, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. thinks that vaccines cause autism. He also thinks that antidepressants cause school shootings. Chuck takes an antidepressant and it's made his life better.

*Chuck talks about the restaurant chain Steak 'n Shake and its shady owner, who also owns Maxim Magazine.

*Trump's staffers always compliment him during cabinet meetings despite him failing.

Bee-otch of the Day: Trump (re: Minnesota school shooting)

On this podcast, King Chuck talks about...

*A mass shooting occurred in Minneapolis at a Catholic School yesterday. Two young kids were murdered.

*The shooter was a transgender woman who attended the school. Plus, her mother was a school secretary. It reminded Chuck about a conversation with a co-worker years ago who had a child at 17. Her father was a school janitor, which made her unpopular. She ended up with the wrong guy who impregnated her. Chuck then talked about his former stepcousin, who had few friends himself because his mother was a school secretary. He got Chuck in trouble because of some bad kids he hung out with.

*Chuck agreed with Ben Meiselas of The MeidasTouch Podcast that the shooter's messages on social media should have been flagged. But, they weren't because Trump slashed the FBI and other law enforcement groups and moved the money over to fight immigration.

*Trump has been busy blasting Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker for being fat and alleged mismanagement of the Hyatt Hotel chain. Being unhealthy and running businesses into the ground is what Trump does best.

*Chuck feels that bullying from religious types lead the shooter into being who she was. He points out a member of his family who has cut out most of his family - Chuck included - for not being Catholic. He then tells the story of a Catholic priest who championed gay marriage and was even arrested at the 1968 riots at the Democratic National Convention for throwing a brick. The organization he started now owns Chuck's childhood movie theater in northern Michigan and has done an awesome job running it.

*Canada's prime minister is pledging to continue helping Ukraine while Trump is sucking up to Putin.

*And finally, as reported on earlier this week, legendary alternative rock radio station 89X is back on the air. However, their new slogan is a bit of a slap in the face to their American audience.

Bee-otch of the Day: K-Love

In this podcast, King Chuck talks about...

*Legendary alternative rock radio station 89X is rumored to return to the Detroit area airwaves. However, there's also a rumor that because of the time the announcement will be made regarding the future of 88.7, that it might be a format that's synonymous with Detroit.

*Two Milwaukee stations, AC B93.3 and legendary alternative rocker WLUM 102.1 are being sold to K-Love for $4 million. The two stations are currently co-owned by the family of NFL Hall of Famer Willie Davis.

*102.1 was alternative for over 30 years. It had been rhythmic top 40 for 15 years beforehand, but a horrific tragedy persuaded Davis to flip it to alt-rock in 1994.

*K-Love has a history of buying up rock radio stations and flipping them to their format. In some cases, the stations were the sole radio station in a major market playing any new rock.

*Like most other non-profit radio stations, K-Love begs their listeners for money. The big market purchases they have made are testament to how much they are worth.

*One reason for low ratings on rock stations are the lack of new, current rock on their playlists. It leads people to listen more on the internet and satellite radio.

*Chuck touched on the Gokey family, who owned six radio stations in northern Michigan. Of the six they sold off, three ended up with religious broadcasters. One of them picked up K-Love's Air 1 format, and their ratings suck.

*Chuck reveals why he gets angry when he sees a WGRD/Free Beer and Hot Wings cup every time he goes to Van Andel Arena.

*In the end, the corporations that own radio stations do nothing to keep their listeners, which is why they move over to satellite and internet radio. This is why they sell their stations to firms like K-Love.

Bee-otch of the Day: Meijer

On this podcast, King Chuck talks about...

*Midwestern retailer Meijer is in trouble over an incident where a 16-year-old male employee with autism was arrested for "stealing" $110 worth of food. The items were set aside to be thrown out due to them being expired.

*While the boy was being arrested, the store manager and the cop were laughing and carrying on at him. Chuck pointed out that anybody can be a victim of profiling, which is why he'll never go to Rivertown Crossings in Grandville ever again.

*The Meijer family is worth $16 billion and the company grosses $20 billion annually. And $110 is a big deal to them.

*Meijer founder Hendrik Meijer was a progressive who fled the Netherlands and their sweatshop factories. His son, Fred was modest despite being extremely wealthy. Chuck explained that both would be spinning in the graves if they saw what happened to the boy.

*This is not the first time Meijer had screwed over people with disabilities. Chuck knew two people who worked there and they were treated horribly.

*Chuck compares Meijer and Walmart. Even though Walmart has acted more conservative than Meijer, Meijer gives more to the Republicans

*The local TV stations in Grand Rapids have given little attention to the Meijer controversy. Chuck thinks it's because they're in bed with them. Things will only get worse if the FCC approves the Nexstar/TEGNA merger.

*People online said that they'll shop smaller stores than Meijer out of protest. Chuck said that the lesser of all evils sometimes can be as evil.

Bee-otch of the Day: Comcast

In today's bite-sized podcast, King Chuck (along with his trusty dog) talks about...

*Television giant Tegna is being bought out by Nexstar for $6.2 billion. The owner's of both companies are hoping the deal will pass through Trump's FCC.

*If the deal is approved, WZZM-13 and WOOD-TV 8's news departments could merge, creating less choice for local news in west Michigan.

*NBCUniversal - owned by Comcast - is spinning off its cable channels, including MSNBC, which is being renamed MS NOW - My Source for News, Opinion, and World. Chuck thinks it's a stupid name.

*Chuck talks about how he's happy that MSNBC is being sold off, especially how they treated Keith Olbermann and Ed Schultz.

*Chuck thinks that corporate media is why Trump is back in office.

Bee-otch of the Day: northern Michigan radio

In this podcast, King Chuck talks about...

*The current northern Michigan radio ratings are out, and despite 106 KHQ and Lite 96's towers collapsing, both stations did well.

*KLT won big time while the former #1, WTCM-FM was tied with Big Country 102.9 at #2.

*Chuck talked at length about WTCM Newstalk 580 and Rock 105 and 95.5. This had to have been 580's worst book in ages, especially with their hosts bowing to Trump. Chuck thinks that 580's problems are karma because they should be Traverse City's Detroit Tiger affiliate. But, their general manager, Chris Warren claims that if they took off shows like Mark Levin, they get complaints.

*Chuck goes into a rant about baby boomers and how they ruined his generation.

*Chuck explains why Chris Warren is Ross Biederman's successor at Midwestern Broadcasting and not Ross's own children.

*Rock 105 and 95.5's ratings have slid every book in the past two years. Chuck claims that the station should have paid Smitty a better wage. Allegedly, he makes more money bartending than as a DJ and programmer.

*Chuck thinks that Rock 105 doesn't play enough new rock, plus, some recent #1s on the rock charts never got regular airplay on the station. Yet, they play the new Linkin Park a bit too much.

*Another problem that Rock 105 has is that their jocks - except for Cartman - are all over 50. Two of them are alumni of Detroit's WRIF. Of course, Rock 105's co-owner was a WRIF executive.

*President Trump is giving out $50 million in aid to the recent ice storm in northern Michigan. Chuck is scared that Trish MacDonald-Garber will get some of that money to rebuild her towers. He talked about how her father screwed over his employees, paving the way for her to create a toxic workplace.

*Chuck wonders why The Bear still exists.

*Finally, Chuck presents a conspiracy theory regarding Rock 105's favoritism towards the new Linkin Park. It has to do with a story his uncle told him years ago about how a 1950s R&B singer got Detroit radio stations to play her music. Let's just say that a station programmer was indeed "Touched By An Angel".

Bee-otch of the Day: New Chapel Church

On today's podcast, King Chuck talks about...

*A Grand Rapids megachurch is in trouble because their former youth pastor was busted for molesting seven underage boys. That same church, New Chapel, received flack for giving out an AR-15 at a raffle.

*Chuck and his mother attended a service at New Chapel several years ago. Bad idea.

*On WGRD's Facebook page, somebody pointed out that the pastor wasn't a drag queen. Chuck says that places that churches have tried to outlaw, such as drag shows and strip clubs aren't a source of sexual assault, but church is.

*Chuck would rather clean up his dog's poop on Sunday over going to church. He even has a message to those who want him to come back to church.

*Chuck's old church in northern Michigan has a satellite location in a movie theater owned by tax dodgers. The family is connected to others who were busted by two Michigan Attorneys General.

*One of the busted business owners by the AG claimed they were targeted because they're Italian. Chuck says that because you're different doesn't make you better.

*In the end, churches have done a poor job of being safe havens for people and they're loaded with people living rent-free in others' heads.

Bee-otch of the Day: the media (will TEGNA and Nexstar merge?)

On today's podcast, King Chuck talks about...

*Nexstar, the owners of NBC affiliate WOOD-TV 8 in Grand Rapids are in talks of merging with TEGNA, who owns ABC WZZM 13, also in GR. Nexstar also owns ABC station WOTV 41 in Battle Creek.

*Chuck explains why west Michigan has two ABC affiliates. Back in the early 90s, the two stations almost merged. WOTV has never been a success in the ratings.

*If the TEGNA/Nexstar merger happens, Chuck predicts that both WZZM and WOTV will finally merge, but WZZM's news department will be dissolved. As it was, last week, many producers and behind-the-scenes people at WZZM were let go because TEGNA switched over to an automated system.

*Not long ago, a shell company of Nexstar's failed to buy a Detroit TV station because Biden's FCC only would approve the deal if they proved that Nexstar wasn't financially backing them. Chuck thinks that with Trump as president, the FCC will work towards less competition, less voices and fewer jobs.

*Northern Michigan radio personality-turned politician Jack O'Malley is back on the Traverse City airwaves on WCCW 1310, aka "WTCM Gold". Chuck had a friend who knew Jack and he was a very toxic person at work and in real life. Meanwhile, a female jock at WTCM's sister station was fired to help make way for O'Malley's comeback.

*Interlochen Public Radio is suffering a $300,000 shortfall because of Trump's cuts to NPR and PBS.

*In all, Chuck proclaimed that voting conservative only leads to more media that doesn't put people first.

Bee-otch of the Day: Rupert Murdoch

In today's podcast, King Chuck discusses...

*The U.S. version of Britain's The Sun newspaper is reporting that Howard Stern will leave SiriusXM once his contract expires at the end of the year. Chuck reminds people that The Sun is owned by Rupert Murdoch, who also owns Fox News Channel.

*Murdoch's media - namely the New York Post - have had a long history of trashing Stern.

*It is true that SiriusXM is losing subscribers. However, Yahoo reported that Stern only has 125,000 listeners. Chuck claims that the number is way off.

*Stern - who is on vacation until next month - did a surprise broadcast on Wednesday. He made no mention of the rumors, but he did announce that Metallica will have their own channel later this month. It will be on channel 42, displacing "The Sound", which was curated by Canadian rapper Drake.

*Today, longtime Stern fan and Photoshopper extraordinaire Doc Ivan made a post about The Sun's allegations that made perfect sense: the only person one could really trust in all this is Stern himself. He has four months to make an official announcement. At 71, if he retires, he retires.

*There's a fear that if Howard is yanked off SiriusXM, it will be politically motivated. The company is majority-owned by John Malone, a billionaire who is a major supporter of Trump.

*Malone is known for his conservative Christian views. Chuck told the story on how he almost screwed over the rock group Guns 'N Roses and helped made Pat Robertson very, very wealthy.

*Malone's former company, TCI Cable, yanked MTV and Comedy Central from west Michigan cable boxes for being too inappropriate for children.

*Malone is on the board of Warner Bros. Discovery. Chuck thinks that he played a role in Cinemax discontinuing showing softcore flicks late at night.

*Among Malone's assets include F1 Racing and Live Nation, which owns Ticketmaster. He used to own the Atlanta Braves baseball team and the former CBS affiliate in Michigan’s western upper peninsula.

*When told that Stern was leaving SiriusXM, President Trump trashed him, claiming that his downfall began when he supported Hillary Clinton in 2016. Trump was a former frequent guest on Stern's show. Chuck pointed out that Trump is in bed with some of the hate groups that clamored to get Stern off the air.

*If Stern's ratings are shrinking, it's due to him no longer having strippers or porn stars on the show. Plus, the fact that he swept Artie Lange under the rug and the fact that he's hardly used his studio since the pandemic have hurt his image. Having guests that don't relate well to his fans like Adam Levine and Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber's manager) have also alienated fans.

*In the end, if Howard retires, Chuck fears that he'll become a recluse like Johnny Carson.

Tuesday, August 5, 2025

Bee-otch of the Day: Sydney Sweeney

In this podcast, King Chuck talks about...

*Sydney Sweeney is receiving backlash for her advertisement for American Eagle Outfitters. Chuck compares her to an old Carnac the Magnificent joke regarding Johnny Carson's sidekick, Ed McMahon.

*It was revealed that the Euphoria star is a Republican, and because of that, Donald Trump loves her.

*Because of her being Republican, Sweeney was heckled at the premiere of her latest movie. The movie is distributed by the same company that screwed Michael Moore over his movie, "Sicko".

*Chuck gives a lengthy story about a man he once knew who was bullied from his girlfriend by a total loser. The girlfriend married the loser and in the end, she was the one who lost. The woman in the story made him think about Sydney.

*In all, Chuck says that he gets sick hearing about women who make bad decisions, and Sydney is one of them.

*In the end, Chuck revealed that he recorded the podcast in a type of vehicle that Sydney - a classic car lover - loves. He will never allow her near it.

Bee-otch of the Day: Trump (for partnering with pedos and being a self-centered jerk)

In this podcast, King Chuck discusses...

*The rise and fall of animation legend Max Fleischer and how his union-busting cost him his studio. After Paramount took his studio away from him and renamed it Famous Studios, they gave it to a group of men, including his son-in-law. After the changeover, some good things happened, but others did not.

*Chuck compares World Wrestling Entertainment to Famous Studios because one of the people in charge is the son-in-law. But in the WWE's case, both the in-laws are bowing to Trump.

*That WWE executive, Triple H, is part of Trump's announcement regarding reinstating the Presidential Fitness Test. So was former football player Lawrence Taylor, who raped a 16-year-old girl and is now a registered sex offender.

*Because of Triple H's alliance with Trump, he got booed at WWE's SummerSlam.

*Chuck read a statement from a Grand Rapids radio legend who now owns a gym. She stated that many children have gotten bullied because of the Presidential Fitness Test. Chuck was one of them. Plus, she stated that the test was created to train children into soldiers for war.

*Triple H was also present when Trump announced that his tariffs are coming closer. Chuck says that one person was fired and another quit at his shop and neither position was refilled because sales have been slow.

*Trump has been firing people who give him bad news, such as his Bureau of Labor Statistics person, who told him that his policies are killing jobs. Chuck compares those in his cabinet who kiss up to him to what's going on in North Korea.

*Trump is spending $200 million bulldozing the Rose Garden for a new ballroom at the White House. Meanwhile, America is in the middle of a mental health crisis.

*Chuck compares Trump's actions to that of his former boss, who almost bankrupted his company.

*Ghislaine Maxwell has been put in a lesser jail than the one she was staying at for sex trafficking.

*Finally, Chuck proclaims that the Democrats need to be more progressive to fight Trump's policies.

Bee-otch of the Day: The Republican Party

King Chuck discussed the following:

*Eleven people were stabbed at the Walmart in Traverse City, Michigan, Chuck's birthplace. The suspect, Bradford Gille, had mental issues and was homeless. So far, there have been no fatalities.

*Gille had a history of abuse and drug issues. He was even busted for digging up the corpses and having sex with them.

*A former classmate of Gille's made a post on social media explaining that Gille started abusing serious drugs as a teenager living in Pellston, a tiny town near the tip of the lower peninsula. She claimed that a group of friends forced him to breathe in smoke from illegal substances, which led to his mental decline.

*The woman claimed that the last time she saw Gille, he was out of sorts. She claimed that Gille had been in several group homes over the years, several of them closed up due to cuts in government funding.

*The cuts to mental health funding in America started when Ronald Reagan shuttered mental hospitals in the 1980s. President Trump's cuts to Medicare and Medicaid will make things worse.

*Sadly, Walmart played a role in the chaos that ensued at their store. The family that controls them are mega billionaires and support Republican causes. Chuck reminded people that they were against selling music with the "Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics" sticker and Howard Stern's "Private Parts" book. Yet, they sell guns.

*Chuck lauded the men who subdued Gilles, especially Derrick Perry, the black man who pulled a gun on him.

*Northern Michigan has had a history of being racist, especially toward African Americans. Chuck admitted that in all his years attending school in Elk Rapids, only one Black person went to school with him.

*A Traverse City restaurant kicked a famous man out of their establishment in the 1940s for being black. The area had blackface minstrel shows well into the Civil Rights era. Chuck even pointed out that there is a famous family up north with ties to the Nazis.

*Because of good role models like Perry, Chuck hopes that it will help eliminate the stigma regarding black people in northern Michigan.

*Lastly Chuck calls on people to vote for true progressives because our current health care system sure won't be fixed under Trump.

Bee-otch of the Day: Hulk Hogan

On this podcast, King Chuck discusses...

*There's mixed reaction to the death of wrestler Hulk Hogan.

*Even though Hulk was given BOTD a few days ago, Chuck wanted to talk more about Hulk being a jerk, plus the sordid history of the WWE and the McMahon family.

*Vince McMahon was abandoned by his father as an infant and raised by his mother, whose new husband adopted him and made him and his mother live in poverty while the elder Vince was making good money with the Capitol Wrestling Corporation.

*Years later, the younger Vince McMahon bought his dad's ccompany and transformed it into what is now WWE against his father's wishes. Chuck said it was payback for having such a bad childhood.

*Hulk did everything from screwing over fellow wrestlers regarding unionizing to shutting down Gawker, the website that exposed his sex tape to being caught using the n-word.

*Chuck also discussed many of the WWE's problems regarding the deaths of Owen Hart and Chris Benoit to Vince McMahon himself using the n-word and being dismissed from the WWE for years of sexual assault.

*Chuck thinks that decades of steroid abuse might have killed Hogan. His aunt married a man who abused steroids and it destroyed their family.

Hero of the Day: Ozzy Osbourne/ Bee-otch of the Day: Hulk Hogan

On today's podcast....

*Ozzy Osbourne has died at the age of 76.

*Chuck talks about his modest beginnings and jump into fame as Black Sabbath's lead singer. He also talked about his struggles with drugs and the religious right.

*According to Chuck, his lone regret regarding Ozzy was not seeing him in concert. The closure of northern Michigan's biggest concert venue and lack of performances when he moved to Grand Rapids played a role. However, Chuck said that the best way to honor Ozzy is to support rock music.

*Chuck bashed Hulk Hogan for being a jerk.

*Other notable deaths include Malcolm Jamal Warner and Chuck Mangione.

Bee-otch of the Day: Paramount

On this BOTD podcast, Chuck discussed...

*CBS is canceling The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. They claim it's due to financial issues, but Chuck - and others - think it's because of parent company Paramount trying to get approved by Trump for their $8 billion merger with Skydance.

*Chuck talks about the decades of late night TV wars and how Johnny Carson was virtually untouchable. The wars heated when Carson retired and wanted David Letterman to host The Tonight Show, but Jay Leno got the show instead. So, Letterman went to CBS. Chuck also talked about Conan O'Brien getting screwed out of The Tonight Show when Leno's 10 pm show bombed and NBC tried to push him back to 11:35.

*Although Colbert is still #1 in the late night ratings, the networks are feeling the pinch from lower ratings due to streaming. Many of the shows are cutting back on their schedule and in the case of Seth Meyers, his band.

*The networks want more money from their affiliates. This is why ABC is losing their affiliate in Miami.

*Chuck thinks that CBS affiliates will be given the 11:35 time slot back. However, if they put on a new show at that time, it will be creamed in the ratings by Kimmel and Fallon.

*In recent years, the big networks have been purging employees because of their political views. Chuck touched on NBC firing Ed Schultz for supporting Bernie Sanders.

*Greg Gutfeld sucks.

*In the end, Chuck hopes that Colbert will land on his feet like Conan after NBC screwed him over.

Bee-otch of the Day: Trump (for the Epstein mess, religious BS and defunding PBS)

In this podcast, Chuck discusses...

*Trump is trying to sweep the Epstein mess under the rug. In a recent speech, Fox News host Laura Ingraham told a crowd to applaud Trump's DOJ claiming that the Epstein files are nonexistent. They booed instead.

*Chuck reminds people that Ingraham trashed the victims of the Parkland School shooting some years ago and her sponsors dumped her, save for MyPillow.

*At a religious function last week, Trump used profanity and the crowd dug it up. In years past, those who used profanity like George Carlin were frowned on by Christian conservatives. Chuck talked about Howard Stern being fined by the FCC for using words like "blumpkin". Yet, Oprah did a show on teenage sex parties that was all made up by her staff, and she was never fined.

*Trump's religious advisor, Paula White, is a wealthy televangelist who begs people for money although she's wealthy. She's married to Jonathan Cain, the keyboardist from the band Journey. He performed the group's most-popular song, "Don't Stop Believin'" on convicted felon Jim Bakker's program.

*White spoke in tongues at the event. Chuck recalled his high school prom date making him go to a revival complete with tongue talking. It was the final nail in the coffin of their relationship. He also talked about a family member who lives in a trailer park who donated to the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Chuck said that those who give to televangelists aren't very intelligent.

*Trump is trying to mix church and state. Chuck pointed out how religion played a disgusting role in World War II.

*The Senate just approved $9 billion in cuts to PBS. Chuck explains how crucial PBS is. He thinks he's a better person because he watched their shows as a kid.

*Chuck is afraid that the cuts to PBS will lead to affiliates having to sell out to someone else. Hint: these types of people have been buying failed commercial radio stations.

*Finally, Chuck gives a shout-out to a Grand Rapids radio legend whose father passed away recently.

Bee-otch of the Day: bro talkers

On today's podcast, King Chuck talks about...

*The MeidasTouch Podcast now has more listeners than Joe Rogan.

*On last night's podcast, the Meiselas brothers talked about the "bro talk" podcast hosts now regretting voting for Trump because he's doing the opposite of what he promised while running for president.

*During her campaign for president, Kamala Harris trashed Trump for being three hours late for a rally in Traverse City, Chuck's birthplace, to go on Joe Rogan's podcast. Chuck then blasted Harris for not coming to Traverse City at all.

*Kamala Harris was asked to appear on Rogan's show. She allegedly declined because he was going to ask her an incriminating question. She appeared on Howard Stern's show instead. Chuck discussed that Stern's not as relevant as he once was.

*Chuck thinks that many of Trump's younger voters are unfamiliar with the right wing scandals of the past, such as the 1980s Satanic Panic or the 1990s war against hip-hop and Marilyn Manson. With Project 2025 rearing its ugly head, people need to be extremely afraid.

*Trump did a speech during his first term with the logos of several right-wing propagandist groups in the background. Some of them have been labeled as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

*One group, the American Decency Association, used frivolous tactics to get Stern's radio show off the air.

*Stern has blasted podcasts for being very successful in a short period of time. It took him years to be where he is now. Chuck wonders if he'll resign with SiriusXM.

*Chuck compares many of the bro talkers to those who ripped off Stern over the years like Opie and Anthony. Even though some knock-offs are better than the original, most duplicates are inferior, like Cracked Magazine was to Mad Magazine.

*Several factories in west Michigan are closing. Plus, Kellogg's has been sold to the makers of Nutella.

*In all, bro talkers who trashed those who voted for Kamala don't understand how politics work.

Bee-otch of the Day: the broadcasting industry

King Chuck talks about in this podcast...

*Lansing's Fox affiliate, WSYM 47 is being sold to Gray Media in a trade with Scripps. Gray already owns NBC WILX 10. Since Nexstar owns CBS WLNS 6 and through its puppet company Mission Broadcasting, ABC WLAJ 53, It will leave Lansing with just two companies running the town's commercial TV stations.

*Since the Telecommunications Act of 1996, media consolidation has cost countless jobs.

*Chuck gives a small history of the Lansing market. WLNS was previously WJIM-TV, but was sold off after a scandal that could have revoked the station's license. WILX was forced to share time with MSU's educational TV station on channel 10. Because of weird reasons, Lansing did not get a real ABC affiliate until 1990.

*Cadillac/Traverse City's CBS station, WWTV 9&10's new studio is a total disaster. They're even airing promos that attack misinformation with the slogan "Better Begins With Us". Yet, they made the mistake of hiring a woman who spread untrue conspiracies a few years ago. Plus, they had a power outage this morning.

*In all, the less competition TV and radio stations have, the worse we're all off.

Bee-otch of the Day: The Supreme Court

In this podcast, King Chuck talks about...

*An article from Pornbiz.com talks about how dangerous the Supreme Court's decision to allow states to force those accessing adult websites to issue identification is.

*The religious right's battle against adult content goes back decades. Chuck talks about people like Charles Keating, puppeteer Ron Brown, and his former youth pastor all being crooks and/or felons whose problems are worse than porn itself.

*The article states that research has been done on the effect of pornography on children and it's inconclusive. Chuck stated that he started looking at hardcore pornography as a young teen and it had zero effect on him.

*A popular northern Michigan church played a negative impact on Chuck's religious life. He also talked about a dead preacher who was also a school bus driver in his school district that got Mad Magazine pulled off school library shelves.

*Even left-leaning churches are troublesome. Chuck talked about a former acquaintance at a church he was a member of who tried to get $500 out of him.

*Chuck makes a big announcement about his personal life. It led to some very traumatic experiences in his life. Because of this, he urges people to stop the stigma regarding people like him and sex workers.

Bee-otch of the Day: Donald Trump for slashing NOAA and lying over Epstein

On today's podcast, King Chuck talks about...

*Over 100 people have died from flooding in Texas. Twenty-seven of the victims were from a Christian girls camp.

*President Trump blamed the disaster on former President Biden like he blamed the plane crash in Washington on DEI.

*Television does an accurate job of reporting the weather, but we still need highly skilled government meteorologists. Chuck talked about a post WOOD-TV 8 Grand Rapids Cheif Meteorologist Ellen Bacca made on social media criticizing the government cutting back on weather research.

*The last Democratic governor Texas had has been dead for almost 20 years.

*According to the DOJ and Pam Bondi, the Jeffery Epstein client list does not exist, even though she claimed it was "on her desk" some time ago.

*Trump was telling people he would release the Epstein list when he was president. Instead, he has a bunch of former right-wing propagandist talk radio hosts running the FBI and being his loyalists.

*Trump has tried to sue people for spreading lies about him. Yet, he lied that gas was $1.98 per gallon.

*People like Trump who send innocent people cease and desist orders are beyond guilty. Chuck pointed out people like Bill Cosby and British television presenter Jimmy Savile.

*Finally, Chuck got pissed about Trumpers who get upset at his haters even though he made a 13-year-old cancer patient a special Secret Service agent. He reminded people that Hitler built the Autobahn.

Bee-otch of the Day: Trump and his kill bill

In this podcast...

-Chuck talks about Trump's "kill bill", which will screw over the middle class and below. Ironically, one the day Congress passed it, actor Michael Madson from the movie of the same day passed away.

-Paramount settled their $16 million lawsuit with Trump, having the way for their merger with Skydance. It leads to Chuck talking about a cease and desist order he got from a businessman who runs his company like Trump who lost almost everything.

-Shamed televangelist Jimmy Swaggert died at age 90. Chuck brought up Dr. Phil McGraw's Merit Street Media filing for bankruptcy. They were in cahoots with the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Chuck wonders why people still give to televangelists because of their scandals.

-Rapper Diddy was acquitted of most of his charges.

-Controversial rock musician Ted Nugent brought a gun into the State Capitol of Michigan. Chuck brought up the fact that the crowd went wild at last year's National Cherry Festival in his birthplace of Traverse City when he appeared on stage.

-Chuck talked about how northern Michigan tolerates racism and pedophilia and wondered why the restaurant he worked at in high school made him work with a child molester. He also brought up the sad story about a beloved actor who was booted out of a Traverse City restaurant in the 1950s for being black.

-Finally, Chuck paid tribute to talk radio legend Dave Barber who died ten years ago today at 60.

Bee-otch of the Day: The Democratic Party

In this podcast...

-Chuck talks about the recent Supreme Court rulings that affect immigrants, the LGBTQ+ community, and the First Amendment.

-He put the Democratic Party at fault in regarding to the flawed Court because of what they did to Bernie Sanders in 2016.

-Chuck's neighbors are Mexican and he supports them and they support Chuck. The fact that Drumpf calls their people names while he's done worse shows how purely evil he is.

-Chuck calls for the deportation of Melania and Barron Trump.

-On the topic of the Court allowing parents to not allow their children to read LGBTQ+ books, Chuck remembered a girl at his school who didn't stand for the Pledge of Allegiance because she was a Jehovah's Witness.

-Chuck saw on Fox News Channel an interview with a black woman who applauded the Court's ruling. He talked about how on the night Barack Obama won the presidency, many LGBTQ+related issues were voted against because blacks have historically never had a good relationship with gays.

-The Court ruled in favor of the state of Texas over forcing pornography websites to ask for ID. Chuck said that people who want to ban porn tend to be very evil people. He brought up Charles Keating, who produced several anti-porn movies in the 1960s. Yet, he screwed many out of their life savings in the 1980s over the Savings and Loan Scandal.

-Chuck talked about the fact that the movies attacked nudie magazines in the early 1960s, which were very tame comparing to the hardcore stuff he saw in his early teens. Yet, unlike what Keating's films claim, he's never murdered or raped a woman in his life.

-He then talks about the importance the adult entertainment industry has on his life, especially strip clubs. He sings the praises of Muskegon's Odyssey Showgirls. He also talks about the difficulties regarding dating in west Michigan.

-Chuck talks about Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee for New York City Mayor.

-One of Mamdani's ideas is to create government-run grocery stores in New York City. Some small, rural towns have them and they're very successful. Chuck brought up the recent sale of Grand Rapids-based SpartanNash to C&S (the owners of Piggly Wiggly) for $1.77 billion. He talked about Spartan closing stores and some of their supplied stores also shutting down. He talked about one store that closed all because of a new Walmart.

-Chuck slammed New York governor Kathy Hochul for trashing Mamdani's proposal to raise taxes on the wealthy. She claims that if he becomes mayor, they will all "move to Palm Beach".

-Chuck brought up Jeff Bezos' wedding in Italy. Jeff supported Drumpf in the election, but many celebrities who stumped for Kamala Harris also attended, such as Oprah. Chuck concluded that it further proves how out of touch corporate Democrats are with normal people.

-Chuck slammed his local Congresswoman, Democrat Hillary Scholten for not wanting to impeach Drumpf. Yet, the two Republicans before her called for impeachment.

-In the end, Chuck calls for more progressives to run for office and for the Democrats to stop being too moderate.

Bee-otch of the Day: Donald Trump

On this podcast...

-Chuck slams Drumpf for his pre-emptive strike on Iran.

-Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called for Drumpf's impeachment.

-Chuck compared Drumpf's attack on Iran to Pearl Harbor. He knows that in situations like these, history will repeat itself.

-He pointed out that Dubya was a horrible human for knowing that the events on 9/11 that killed 3,000 Americans were going to happen, but he kept his mouth shut because he wanted to create the wars that killed over 4,500 more of our people.

-Chuck is angry that Drumpf used bigotry to get elected. He pointed out a bunch of homophobic political cartoons that were created by two cartoonists who work for Townhall. One labeled Harvey Milk a predator and another showed a man dressed as Jesus exposing himself to a group of children.

-Chuck pointed out that Townhall is owned by Salem, an ultra-conservative Christian company that is known for spreading lies and bigotry. Chuck also slammed one of the few independently-owned radio stations in west Michigan for using Townhall as their hourly news supplier.

-Chuck explained that gay men have hit on him in the past. But overall, most aren't predators. Straight men also can be predators, too.

Bee-otches of the Day: the Republican Party

In this podcast...

-Chuck talked about the assassination of a Minnesota Congresswoman and her husband by a MAGA Republican.

-He claims that the Republicans are all about spreading misinformation and screwing up the Federal Communications Commission was the beginning.

-Chuck explains that the FCC once did good things, such as limiting what media outlets could own and forcing TV manufacturers to put on a UHF knob on their sets. The biggie was enacting the Fairness Doctrine, which forced broadcasters to present views and opinions from all sides.

-Chuck brought up Jackson, Mississippi TV station WLBT-TV, which violated the Doctrine by censoring Black people and was stripped of its license.

-Chuck said that however, things started falling apart with the FCC when the Supreme Court ruled that they could fine broadcasters for airing indecent content. He bought up that most members of the Court at the time were Nixon appointees. One of those who voted against the FCC was Thurgood Marshall, who was censored by the WLBT in the 1950s.

-That particular case was brought up by a conservative Catholic father who was listening to a broadcast of George Carlin's "Seven Dirty Words" routine on a New York radio station in the early 70s with his teenage son.

-Reagan's FCC abolished the Fairness Doctrine in 1987, which paved the way for right-wing talk radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh. Clinton's Telecommunications Act of 1996 only made things worse. Things got even more disastrous with Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction.

-Chuck brought up Air America, which was dumped on iHeartMedia stations after Mitt Romney's firm bought it. They ended up bankrupt.

-Chuck thinks that Drumpf might still consider outlawing pornography because of Project 2025. He thinks that those who have tried to outlaw porn and certain types of music over the years have worse problems in their lives.

-Chuck remembered a story about an old man in Alabama years ago who kidnapped a little boy from his school bus. The man had right wing talk radio blaring non-stop.

-On closing, Chuck tells people to support independent media to know the truth because corporations don't care about you.

Bee-otch of the Day: Donald Trump

On today's short-but-sweet podcast...

-Chuck talked about a post author Stephen King made on Twitter of a video of Drumpf's disastrous $45 million parade this weekend in Washington, DC.

-Only 10,000 people attended Drumpf's parade. Meanwhile, millions attended the No More Kings marches in America.

-A popular 1990s alternative rock star participated in the march in Chuck's hometown of Traverse City, Michigan.

-Drumpf's approval ratings are tanking.

-A pro-Drumpf country and rock festival was held in the town of Hastings, not far from where Chuck lives. 2000s rock has-beens Kid Rock and Nickelback headlined. Chuck talked about how he went from playing house parties in Detroit attended by black people to being an asshole bowing to Drumpf. He also called Nickelback sellouts because two of their hits sounded too similar to each other.

-Afroman also played the festival. Chuck thinks he was high when he agreed to play it.

-Chuck talked about the murder of the Minnesota Congresswoman and the roughhousing of a California Senator. He says that right-wingers don't care about intelligence and they'll stop at nothing to censor the truth.

-Chuck mentioned that people told him that he was a failure. He pointed out that both Walt Disney and Oprah Winfrey had the same comments hurled to them.

-Chuck urges people to vote for the most-progressive candidates in the primaries in 2026 to amp up a blue wave.

Bee-otch of the Day: northern Michigan media

In today's BOTD podcast, once again at the park with our canine executive producer (apologies for occasional wind issues)...

-Chuck proclaims how embarrassing it is that Traverse City has no Detroit Tiger radio affiliate, and the Record-Eagle newspaper recently covered the story.

-He said that he visited the Traverse City area last year and tried to pick up the nearest Tiger station, Cadillac's 93.7 The Ticket in Williamsburg, but got severe bleeding from WKLT's Boyne City repeater at 93.5. At the time, they were playing one of Kid Rock's more-recent songs. He ended up flipping to satellite radio to pick up the game.

-Chuck goes over the history of Tigers radio in Traverse City. He says that WTCM picking up The Rush Limbaugh Show, plus the Tigers' poor record played a role in the station wanting to dump the team. It was a huge reason why station owner Ross Biederman bought WCCW 1310 and moved the team there.

-He then explains that another broadcaster took over the rights to the Tigers for Traverse City, but they were only leasing the stations and were forced off those frequencies. Two of the three-biggest radio companies serving Traverse City air the Tigers elsewhere.

-WTCM and WCCW's general manager told the Record-Eagle that if he aired the Tigers, people call and complain. Chuck explained that several of the stations he manages have lousy-to-no ratings.

-The Lions air on local classic rock station The Bear. Chuck explains that they've been getting mauled by KLT for years and should consider a format change.

-Chuck visited Traverse City recently and now, the FM dial is overrun with Christian radio stations.

-He does say that Rock 105 and 95-5 isn't a bad station. However...

-Chuck touches on CBS affiliate WWTV 9&10 and their move to Traverse City after being in the Cadillac area for 71 years. On social media, people praise the station for being locally owned and not run by an ultra-right-winged firm like Sinclair, who owns NBC affiliate WPBN-TV 7&4 and WGTU ABC 29&8. Chuck explains that local isn't always better.

-He talks about the fact that 9&10 dropped Howard Stern's ill-fated Saturday night show for NRA infomercials starring Charleton Heston in 1999. He also criticized the station for dumping a CBS 9/11 documentary for a bad Robin Williams movie over profanity. Chuck claims that it all boiled down to money from a notorious billionaire.

-Chuck touched on a former 9&10 anchor who was fired from a station in El Paso, Texas for conducting a one-sided interview with embattled attorney general Ken Paxton. He also heard rumors of a toxic work environment at the station that caused a revolving door.

-Chuck explained that the fact that 9&10 is paying the owner's friend to own the local Fox affiliate for them to operate makes them as shady as Sinclair. The fact that 9&10 moved from a giant mausoleum-style building to what looks like a town house is karma. Chuck also commented that their new studio is quite tiny.

-He ends the podcast by praising a new community radio station in his childhood hometown and that people need to continue to support independent voices.

Bee-otch of the Day: Tyrone Bynum

In this podcast, recorded during a walk in the park with his trusty canine companion,

-Chuck talks about how Bynum ran WMFN 640 into the ground and the mistake WMFN's previous owners made.

-He also talked about a religious cult WMFN's owners are doing business with, which was started by a pedophile. Plus, he pointed out that a well-known rapper was part of that cult.

-Chuck also talked about how Tyrone screwed over Detroit Tiger fans in west Michigan.

-He also gives a brief history of WPRR 1680 and the creation of Public Reality Radio.

-Chuck then talks about the feud between Tyrone and WPRR's programming director, Darren Gibson and the truth as to why Gibson got fired.

-Chuck talked about the karma that hit WPRR's owner and is now hitting Tyrone.

-He then explains the FCC violations Tyrone is making and one that got him slapped with a Notice of Violation notice.

-Chuck says that sadly, too many black-owned media companies - not just Tyrone's - are poorly-run.

-He then brought up the incompetence of West Michigan broadcasters, especially WOOD-TV 8.

-He also blames Tyrone for Drumpf winning the 2016 presidential election.

Bee-otch of the Day: Hulk Hogan

Name: Terry "Hulk Hogan" Bollea
Age: 71
Occupation: former wrestler
Last Seen: Tampa, Florida
Bee-otched For: getting the Smackdown by his former fans

Once upon a time, there was a basketball team called the Buffalo Braves.

The Braves played from 1970 to 78. The team was sold to John Y. Brown, the Kentucky governor and then-owner of Kentucky Fried Chicken, who ran the team so far into the ground that he ended up selling the team to California-based Irv Levin, who moved it to San Diego. Renamed the Clippers - named for the boats that lined the city's bay - the team was still an underperformer.

And then came Donald Sterling.

In 1981, the attorney and real estate baron purchased the Clippers and then moved them to Los Angeles in 1984. Sterling was considered one of the worst owners of all sports. The team rarely had a winning season or even made the playoffs. Plus, they played in a much older arena than the Lakers, at least until both teams agreed to move to the Staples Center when it opened in 1999. Nonetheless, they've always been the Lakers' bitch. With names like Kareem, Magic, Kobe, and LeBron, the Lakers were Saks Fifth Avenue while the Clippers were Dollar General.

And then, a miracle happened, thanks to his mistress and her tape recorder.

Vanessa Stiviano recorded Sterling trashing her standing with Laker legend Magic Johnson in a photo she posted on Instagram. Sterling even told her not to "bring those people" to Clipper games, referring to her friends, including people of color. The recordings made it to the media and the NBA, who banned Sterling for life in April 2014. Sterling sold the Clippers to Steve Ballmer, who has done a yeoman's job of fixing the long-struggling team. Today, the Clippers are one of the NBA's top teams, with a record similar to that of the Lakers, as I'm typing this.

One thing that Ballmer did to the Clippers was build them a brand new arena, the Intuit Dome. The $2 billion facility in Inglewood is just down the street from SoFi Stadium, the home of the NFL's Rams and Chargers. The Dome, which opened last year, is the Clippers' first arena they have had to themselves since leaving the aging Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena in 1999.

Obviously, the Dome is being used for other purposes, including concerts and, most recently, the January 5th edition of World Wrestling Entertainment's flagship TV program, Monday Night Raw. This edition marked the show's debut on Netflix after being on cable TV for over 30 years. Recently, the WWE realigned its contracts with the networks that carry its shows. Smackdown moved to USA—Raw's former home—while NXT is now on The CW.

The WWE is in the middle of a rebuilding. In 2023, the company was sold to TKO Holdings, which is majority-owned by Endeavor Group Holdings. From 1982 until 2023, the WWE was either fully owned or majority-owned by Vince McMahon, who bought the organization from his father, also named Vince. Under the younger McMahon, the WWE grew from a small, regional promotion into the worldwide behemoth that made McMahon a billionaire. However, McMahon was forced from the company he built after it was revealed that he paid off several women whom he sexually assaulted and performed vulgar sex acts - such as him pooping on his victims - on. Also recently, McMahon paid $1.7 million to the Securities and Exchange Commission after failing to reveal his hush money payments.

That edition of Raw marked a new beginning for the WWE, whose fans seem to be happy that the McMahon legacy is now a thing of the past. Many blamed Vince for the WWE's downfall in recent years, especially with the dorky TV-PG era, which was rife with weak storylines and an overall blandness in comparison to the "Attitude Era" which revitalized the brand in the late 1990s. McMahon sought to make the WWE a near monopoly as far back as when he purchased the organization from his father, who abandoned him as an infant, forcing his mother, Victoria to raise him as a single mother in a dilapidated trailer. At one point, the younger Vince was adopted by an abusive man, Leo Lupton, who adopted him, giving Vince his surname. Vince was sent to live with his father when he was 12, who was much better financially thanks to the success of the wrestling organization that would become the WWE, which was originally known as the Capital Wrestling Corporation and the World Wide Wrestling Federation. However, when the elder McMahon was dying of cancer, the younger Vince bought him out and broke a promise that he would not buy out other wrestling promotions. Well, the younger McMahon did, and when Time Warner sold the now-struggling World Championship Wrestling to him in 2000, he couldn't be happier to have the world of wrestling to himself.

At least until he sold WWE to TKO and Endeavor and was forced from the company he built on a broken promise.

I watched some of Raw's debut on Netflix and they made hardly any mention of McMahon. It started with a small film of wrestling's early days as circus sideshows and its evolution into what it is today. The film was projected onto four screens covering the ring, which collapsed, revealing the WWE's Chief Content Officer, Paul "Triple H" Levesque. Throughout the show, several of WWE's GOATs made appearances, such as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Mark "The Undertaker" Calaway.

Both the WWE and the Los Angeles Clippers needed new beginnings. It's too bad that the past had to show up.

During the program, Hulk Hogan appeared on stage, valeted by "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart flying the American flag. The whole crowd booed Hogan, proving that he's as warped and scratched up as an old vinyl copy of The Gentrys' "Keep On Dancing" that was used as a frisbee (and as any hardcore wrestling fan knows, Hart was a member of that 1960s band, whose song peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 60 years ago). The reaction to Hogan on the program is a far cry from the positive reaction he got when he appeared at both the Republican National Convention and Drumpf's rally at Madison Square Garden several months ago.

Many wrestling fans are comfortably on the left politically, though the McMahon family bows to Drumpf, and the aforementioned Undertaker is also a Repuke. The Rock has been all over the road politically, voting for Obama both times, though he claimed that he voted for Joe Biden in 2020 but regretted it. Ari Emanuel, the president of Endeavor and CEO of TKO, is a Democrat and the brother of Rahm Emanuel, the current US ambassador to Japan and former Illinois Congressman, Chicago Mayor, and White House Chief of Staff under Obama. The website and internet app Goods Unite Us list the WWE as a 100% Republican company with 98% of its donations coming from senior employees.

It's no secret that many in the wrestling community are still angry at the WWE for allowing Hogan to still be looked upon as a legend even though he also was caught being racist in a secret recording made ten years ago. In that leaked tape, Hogan was caught using the n-word multiple times. When it was made public, the WWE cut Hogan from his contract and eliminated most references to him on their website. Hogan apologized and amazingly, many black wrestlers announced that they had forgiven him. One black wrestler, however, Mark Henry claimed that he was an exception to the rule because Hogan "never tried to fix his problems". Hogan even claimed that he only used the n-word because all of his friends in Tampa - where he lived - used that word.

When Hogan was fired from the WWE, many fans pointed out that even Vince McMahon himself used the word during a skit on Raw many years ago. So, Hogan was reinstated. But, it was too little, too late. Hogan has appeared on WWE shows many times over the years only to get booed by people who look at him as a douchebag racist Drumpf supporter as opposed to being the man who helped to make professional wrestling the international pastime it became.

Yeah, I know. People of my generation still gush over Hogan's rivalry against Andre the Giant at the 3rd Wrestlemania. Plus, many of his fans followed him to WCW where his nWo stable helped them achieve record ratings. This helped McMahon's rival Ted Turner build his wrestling dynasty until he sold to Time Warner who ran WCW into the ground it created the opportunity for McMahon to transform the WWE into the extreme "Attitude Era" where matches got more violent, plus women wore fewer clothes. Many times, McMahon did his damndest to sweep Hogan under the rug, only for him to reappear.

Not only that, but some are still angry that it was Hogan who brought down the website Gawker because of a leaked video of him having sex with Heather Clem, the wife of radio personality and former Hogan friend Bubba the Love Sponge. The video was given to Gawker, who was forced into bankruptcy after being forced to give Hogan $115 million.

Yeah, the Hulkster is a legend. But, he's still a Grade-A asshole. Why the WWE still embraces him is a mystery. Granted, he got wild applause at those Drumpf rallies because he has the gall to wear a MAGA hat. But, that doesn't mean that all WWE fans voted for Drumpf, either.

Wrestling shouldn't have to deal with politics in most cases. The same goes with most sports, though when Donald Sterling was fighting to hold on to the Clippers, he pointed out that many sports team owners were also bigots. He mentioned the DeVos family, which owns the Orlando Magic. They spent millions fighting against pro-LGBTQ+ laws in several states. They even helped to shutter Grand Rapids' strip clubs in 2006 thanks to a city ordinance they reportedly helped fund. It might explain why in 2016 when a mass shooting at the gay Pulse nightclub occurred, the DeVoses spent over a million dollars aiding victims, plus the fact that they installed a banner at Amway Arena in Orlando honoring the 49 people killed in the massacre.

There's also the late Larry Miller, owner of the Utah Jazz and Salt Lake City TV station KJZZ-14. From 1995 until 2000, the station was affiliated with UPN but dropped the mini-network because Miller thought that it was too black for the market. Miller died in 2009 and his estate has since sold KJZZ to Sinclair in 2016, which also owns CBS affiliate KUTV-2 and KMYU-12, the local MyNetworkTV station. The Millers sold the Jazz in 2020 to billionaire Ryan Smith, who owns the NHL's Utah Hockey Club (formerly the Arizona Coyotes) and is part-owner of the Real Salt Lake soccer team.

It's no secret that no sports team has perfect ownership. Even my Detroit Lions suffered some controversy in 2003 when late owner William Clay Ford hired head coach Steve Mariucci without following the NFL's "Rooney Rule", an edict that forces team owners to interview people of color regarding coaching positions ahead of whites. The law was named for Dan Rooney, the late owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers. When Ford hired Mooch, the NFL fined the team $200,000. In the end, Mooch was canned after two seasons with an abysmal 15-28 record. Ford died in 2014 and his daughter, Shiela now owns the team, which is now one of the hottest teams in the NFL under coach Dan Campbell.

What's even more pathetic is that many of Hogan's fans are happy that as I'm typing this, Los Angeles is burning down. Over 26 people have all died and thousands of homes and businesses have all burned to the ground. Some have posted idiotic memes showing Hogan ripping his shirt off in front of a burning house with the caption "God is a Hulkamanic".

You know, I'm getting fucking sick of all these douchebag asslickers of Drumpf being all happy that in their mind, everyone whose home burned down in the wildfires was all against him. Dennis Quaid is a Drumpfter and even played Reagan in a stupid movie from last year. His home burned down. Same with James Woods, another asslicker to Drumpf whose home burned down in the fires. Mel Gibson, a noted anti-semite, also lost his home.

On my way home from my mother's on Wednesday last week, I decided to listen to a little bit of Mark Levin's shit show on AM talk radio. He's another douche happy that Los Angeles is burning. He even cried about how minimum wage is destroying America especially California. It reminded me of the one and only time I got a raise from my former boss, with whom I worked for 10.5 years. He took me to Brann's Steakhouse for an employee evaluation. On the way back to the shop, he wanted to listen to Michael Savage, but thankfully, WOOD 1300 was airing a hockey game. Bear in mind that Savage - like Levin - is an angry, homophobic, lying sack-of-shit Jew whose ideals are identical to Hitler's.

Yes, some people who lost their homes in the California wildfires were mega-wealthy, like Paris Hilton. I'm actually happy certain folks lost their homes, especially Heidi Montag, who shot herself in the ass in 2009 when she appeared in a Playboy pictorial where she hardly appeared nude at all. Her excuse? "I'lL sHOw mOrE iN My NexT iSSuE!" Well, it was her only issue. Now that 1) Playboy is all but nonexistent, especially after they went the no nudity route several years ago and 2) Heidi is now a mother and pretty much a has-been, karma's a bitch for her. At least she still has Spencer, though once a woman has a kid with another man, she becomes dead to me.

You see, most of the people whose homes were destroyed in the California blaze weren't rich. They were hard-working people with families and jobs that disappeared. The only crime they committed was being in an area where it doesn't rain often and is prone to fires, mudslides, and other weird weather. I predict that many will have no choice but to move, and I think that my home state of Michigan will be a top choice for some.

If there are Hulk Hogan fans out there, then why didn't they go to defend him when he was booed on Raw? Sorry for them, but they're in the minority now. The WWE has new management and they don't need to make the same feckless mistakes they've been making for years. If a good guy is being booed, they don't need to keep putting him on a pedestal because he's now the bad guy. Hulk Hogan hasn't been relevant in years and it needs to stay that way.

The question is, what is the Hulkster gonna do when reality goes wild on him?
