On Friday, I felt bad for living in Grand Rapids.
Our unpopular president-elect, Donald Trump came rolling in to our city as part of his "thank you" tour. GR was the third city on his tour and deservingly so since Betsy Devos, his future Education Secretary is from around here. The appearance was pretty much a pep rally complete with a few smart hecklers here and there.
Needless to say, I watched some of the rally, complete with the mute button on.
Since the last time I hammered Trump with the BOTD, he's been making cabinet decisions that are anything but for the people. He nominated ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson to be his Secretary of State. Some claim that his choice was because of his understanding of Russia. Then there's his choice for Labor Secretary, Andrew Puzder who is against raising the minimum wage and for replacing workers with automation. His choice to run the EPA, Scott Pruitt sued the organization because he was against their clean air initiative. Bear in mind that Oklahoma is notorious for its earthquakes thanks to fracking.
And yes, he's chosen Mrs. Vince McMahon herself, Linda to head the Small Business Administration. Gotta love the woman whose organization for years held a near-monopoly on wrestling and was known for sweeping certain personnel under the rug *COUGHCHRISBENOITCOUGH*.
It'll be unfortunate to see what Drumpf will choose for his other positions. Most of his members are billionaires and anti-middle class. At least he hasn't chosen Sarah Palin yet.
Donald Trump: because it's not 2000 all over again, it'll be 1929 instead.
