One of my favorite ghost town stories from here in Michigan involves Singapore. Not where the de facto president is right now, but the town that was near Saugatuck that was an epicenter for logging in the 1800s. After the great Chicago fire, workers worked night and day, around the clock to get wood hauled out to Chicago. However, so many trees were cut that it caused sand to kick up and by 1875, the people abandoned Singapore for other towns. Today, there's nothing left of Singapore except for the fact that all of their buildings are now underneath the sand dunes.
Of course, Singapore - the sovereign nation in Asia - has Drumpf there at the moment and instead of sand, he's attract a stinkload of shit.
The sad thing is that Drumpf left our allies at the G7 Summit in Charlevoix, QC (yes, us Michiganders need to know that there's other towns in the world with that name) in disgust and even dissing Canada and its way-more-professional prime minister Justin Trudeau. Now, he's in Singapore trying to tell their leader Kim Jong Un that they need a deal to stop their nuclear weapons program.
Guess what? His father had similar deals with Clinton and Dubya to no avail. He lied after the deals were made. Tell ya the truth, I don't expect much out of a weasel who has called him "Rocket Man" plus the fact that Kim has labeled him a "dotard", which is pretty much the definition of a senile old person. Sadly, when the enemy acts more intelligent than you, we're doomed.
Look, gas prices are going up. The prices of steel, recyclables and other goods are also increasing. If this continues, it'll be 2008 all over again.
Midterms, please come quicker than we think!
