Last week was a pretty good week for the 44th president of the United States.
The Supreme Court once again upheld Obamacare and made gay marriage legal in all 50 states and he helped to begin the rebuilding process in the south after a lone gunman cut down nine innocent black people at a church in South Carolina. It's proof that even though I've had my issues personally with Barack Obama, at least we as a nation should be proud that at least we don't have a Republican in office.
True, Obama slurred some of the words to "Amazing Grace", he still helped to heal the people of Columbia whose beloved Mother Emmanuel by giving a rousing eulogy to Clementa Pinckney, a personal family friend of his. When I saw him singing on live TV, to me, it was him pointing to all those for years who've labeled him a Muslim and spoke lies about him. In all reality, he's a true Christian and down to Earth. I feel that most people who talk smack about him simply do so because he's a black president who cares about the middle class and not the 1%.
In his six years in office, over seven million jobs have been created, the costly wars created by Dubya have ended, gay marriage is now totally legal and Americans have better health insurance. True, we've got a ways to go, at least if we compare ourselves to Canada where healthcare is 100% free, gay marriage has been legal for over a decade and there's gun control that has kept the country's crime rate low.
All I can say is that I hope the next president of the USA can be just as good or even better. With the disaster Bush and other Repukes have left us, we need to keep voting Democrat to keep this country in perfect running order. Obama has two more years and I hope he can keep up the course to improve this nation as a whole.
Remember when convicted felon Dinesh D'Souza made that anti-Obama movie claiming that we'd be in an apocalypse in 2016? Well, it's not looking that way now, is it?
