It's sad that a man who stole over $150 million from his followers tells us all that if you ignore him, you're going to Hell.
The other day, televangelist Jim Bakker was talking about the 31 times God told him about the prophecies that were going to happen, including 9/11. As he was belting out all this, he read from the book of Matthew stating that woe will come to those who don't believe the prophets. In the end, Bakker said that in the end, his haters will be shaking their fists at God because "you didn't listen to Jim Bakker".
Hmmm... I wonder where God was when his beloved PTL ministry collapsed.
You know, televangelists are well-known for pulling this shit off, saying that they are prophets and the only way to Jesus is to donate as much as possible to them. Jim Bakker is simply making the same fucked-up mistakes he made 30 years ago. I know God wants us to forgive and forget, but when you use that scripture to pawn your audience, well, that makes you a bigger asshole than ever.
Instead of going back to jail, Bakker needs to be thrown into a loony bin and should stay there for good. Maybe the food they serve there will be a lot worse than the doomsday buckets he sells on his website.
