The fireworks are sure going off in Washington.
Earlier today, Drumpf signed another executive order that would advance the controversial Keystone and Dakota Access Pipelines. Many are protesting Drumpf's decision since President Obama already banned the Dakota Access Pipeline from being built under the Missouri River near the Standing Rock Indian Reservation, pop. 8,000. But with Drumpf's decision, it looks like those who protested at Standing Rock will be making a comeback, some time or another.
The Keystone XL Pipeline was halted by President Obama in 2015 because it went against his pro-environmental agenda. But since most of the assholes who voted for Drumpf are absolute retards whose only talent is to dig holes in the ground, that's what we got. In the end, we can kiss our planet goodbye.
Underground pipelines are a bad idea. Look at what happened in the Kalamazoo River a few years ago. Hell, look at the BP oil spill from several years ago! Some, like myself fear that the next big oil spill could be in the Straits of Mackinac where Embridge has Line 5, which was built in the 1950s and could burst at any given time. The Straits of Mackinac - which consists of Mackinaw City, St. Ignace and Mackinac Island - all live off of tourism dollars. If Line 5 bursts, all three aforementioned towns will be DEAD. The area's already-sky-high unemployment will rise even more. When the BP oil spill occurred, several shrimping companies - some well over 100 years old - were forced out of business. The same thing could happen if Line 5 bursts.
Drumpf doesn't give a damn about our environment. He wants to reduce government laws so the morons who barely graduated high school can dig holes and have our earth suffer. I predict that in the near future, he'll allow for more fracking, especially in states like Michigan. Look at Oklahoma: that state is RIDDLED with earthquakes because it is a frack-happy land. Two years ago, we had a minor earthquake here in Grand Rapids. That's enough for us.
But for Drumpf, it's drill, baby, drill.
