A long, long time ago, the Republicans were the true freedom fighters.
Its leader, Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves. However, The Republicans lost their way and now, they're the party of racism and fear.
What's even more shocking is that there are black folks who still appreciate and are Repukes, and John James, Michigan's Republican senate nominee, is no exception.
The Detroit Metro Times just revealed that part of James' senate campaign is being funded by John and Mary Lou Tanton, a couple from Petoskey who the Southern Poverty Law Center have linked to white supremacy. They're behind a PAC that donated $500 to James' campaign. The organization has given money to several other campaigns, including Alabama senator Mo Brooks, who claimed that Obama and other Democrats were "waging a war on whites".
The Tantons created the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), which sought to limit immigration from northern Europeans and Hispanics. The SPLC have also labeled them a hate group.
The sad thing is how in the case of some politicians like James, money is an issue and they don't care a flying fuck where it's from. James reminds me of Tom DuBois from The Boondocks: a black dude who acts like he's white. And since he's a Repuke, he's the quintessential definition of an Uncle Tom.
Well, the good news is that by the time you read this, the polls will be closed and even though I voted for the Green Party candidate, Marcia Squier, Debbie Skeletor-er, Stabenow will likely be reelected. True, she's part of the establishment that hardly gets shit done and kisses military ass, at least she's not not in bed with the NRA.
James might as well dress in blackface and tap dance, screaming "MAMMY!" at the same time.
