Oh. My. God. A billionaire who fucking gets it.
On Monday, the world's second-wealthiest man, Warren Buffett wrote an op-ed piece in the New York Times that should scare the pants out of ANY billionaire on the planet. In the editorial, the Berkshire Hathaway CEO said that he feels that the US tax system most definitely favors the well-to-do and shuns the middle class.

According to Buffett, "My friends and I have been coddled long enough by a billionaire-friendly Congress, It’s time for our government to get serious about shared sacrifice." Buffett cited that he only paid 17.4 out of an income of nearly 7 million dollars last year, but his office staff paid much more percentage-wise, with an average of 36%. He proposes raising taxes for those making over a million and even more for those making over ten million dollars yearly.

Berkshire Hathaway is the conglomerate that owns Fruit of the Loom Underwear, Dairy Queen and GEICO Insurance. Buffett started investing in the company in 1962 after noticing that their stock went up every time they shut down a mill. When he bought his first BH stock, it was worth a little over $11. Today, the stock is split in two: stock A closed at over $107,000 while stock B ended the day at $71.52.

Despite his massive wealth, Buffett lives in a modest $500,000 house in Omaha. He drives his own car - a Cadillac CTS - and doesn't own a cell phone.

On his reelection tour in Minnesota, President Obama used some of Buffett's words, even drawing applause when mentioning the line of coddling billionaires. Right now, the president is facing his biggest challenge since being elected, scoring his lowest approval numbers ever at 39%.

It's unknown if Buffett's words will impact the wealthy or even the bought Congress, but since he's the wealthiest man in the world next to Bill Gates, he could be an inspiration. Problem is, Buffett's a huge supporter of Obama and other left-leaning causes like Willie Nelson's biofuel.

Look, Buffett made his billions by making wise choices, not getting government kickbacks. The nation's middle class is disappearing because the wealthy just don't care about them. Warren seems to care since his employees do everything from flying jets to making a Blizzard. He employs everybody from the janitor pushing a broom to people who work in his office. If Warren can give people the message, well, God bless him.

One out of 400 might not be too bad.
