Since my MySpace days, I've been good acquaintances with a Stern Show fan named Kerri Matuszak, who is famous amongst Stern fans for her wacky Photoshop images. Her nickname is "Preemiememe" because she gave birth to premature triplets 16 years ago. She has two sons, Ian and Alec, who have multiple sclerosis and a daughter, Sydney who has scoliosis.
Earlier this month, a woman Kerri thought she could trust to care for her children did the unthinkable: she stole their puppy.
The Matuszaks have a now-five-month-old Havanese puppy named Lily, and in August, the dog wound up missing. The family looked everywhere for it and even posted signs in the neighborhood.
Kerri became suspicious that the kids' home health aide, Daffney Rincher was the puppy thief. She was asking everybody questions like "how much is she worth?" and "when are you going on vacation?"
But, it was a Facebook post by Rincher's sister that got her arrested. She stated that she was "dog sitting with her sister". It was enough evidence to prove that Rincher was guilty. Police went to her house and found Lily, safe and sound.
Kerri told the Long Island Herald that she has no plans of hiring another home health aide anytime soon, claiming that she doesn't want anymore trouble in her home. Rincher is expected in court today.
You know, this nasty skank did one of the sickest things anybody could ever do: steal from the disabled. Even worse, it was a small puppy that's been very therapeutic for Ian and Alec. Why would ANYBODY want to steal an innocent animal from an innocent family? Plus, there's abandoned animals everywhere. Why couldn't she go to a shelter?
In the end, I know that Ms. Rincher won't get the world's biggest jail sentence, but I hope that she'll feel somewhat guilty for what she did. Stealing from the disabled is almost like stealing from a homeless guy. A homeless man has nothing while these kids can't do what a normal person can.
It's stories like these that I hope I never get sick or forced to even have a home aide. Hell, I don't trust ANYBODY in my home!
Sometimes, I wonder if hell's not enough for people like Daffney Rincher.
