In Drumpf's world, the bad guys win and we all suffer.
Last night the de facto president announced that he wants to beef up the long-suffering Afghanistan War by sending more troops. The war has been around for 15 long, miserable years and it's the longest war in American history. So far, not a lot has been accomplished.
The sad thing is that Dubya didn't have an exit strategy, Obama wanted out but couldn't come up with one himself. Now that Drumpf is in the White House, he's making fellow Repukes and the war industry happy by causing even more carnage in a war that has killed over 150,000 people, soldiers and civilians alike.
Meanwhile, there is *some* joy to report, and it's that the White House has announced that former Maricopa County, AZ sheriff Joe Arpaio won't be pardoned after he was charged for ignoring a judge's orders for doing immigration sweeps after he told him not to. Since Drumpf is in Arizona tonight to do a rally for the beefed-up Afghan War, there was speculation that he would pardon Arpaio, who lost re-election last year.
The point is that this war has cost us Americans $2.4 trillion and it's going nowhere. Al-Quida is still around and we've seen the creation of Isis. I remembered when the Vietnam War was called a quagmire.
Well, this is a quagmire and then some.
