Last Friday, the east coast of Texas was decimated by the wrath of Hurricane Harvey.
So far, three people have died and portions of Houston are now massively underwater. Thousands are now left homeless in America's fourth-largest city.
With the announcement of Harvey, it was an opportunity for the asshole in chief to announce to the world that he was pardoning one of the worst sheriffs in American history. Drumpf pardoned former Maricopa County, AZ sheriff Joe Arpaio, who was charged by a judge for disobeying him. Arpaio was well-known for mistreating his prisoners and profiling Hispanics. He was also a notorious player in the birther movement which Drumpf was also a part of, claiming that former President Obama was born in Kenya.
Ya know, instead of pardoning a fellow asshole, Drumpf should have simply told the people of Texas to get the hell outta there. But no, since he's a true-blue Repuke. This brings back torrid memories of Hurricane Katrina and Dubya's ignorance towards its victims. Now, Drumpf is planning to come to Texas, but only to Corpus Cristi, which wasn't all that hit hard by the hurricane.
The only good news is that Arpaio is no longer Maricopa County sheriff and that he's 85, so he'll die hopefully soon. This is what happens when Repukes run the show: they love to pardon assholes. Look at Gerald R. Ford: he's well-loved here in Grand Rapids, yet he pardoned Richard Nixon. That, of course killed his chances of ACTUALLY being elected president, which of course never happened. With Arpaio's pardoning and a meager 35% approval rating, God damn us all if Drumpf is ever reelected.
While Houston is loaded with water, Drumpf's head is filled with hot air.
