One can say that The Price is Right is as American as apple pie.

It's a show that's almost as old as television itself. It originally debuted in 1956 on NBC with Bill Cullen accepting the bids and ended its original run on ABC in 1965.

The version most of us know and love has been on CBS since 1972. For generations, Bob Barker entertained millions of Americans with Plinko chips and a man climbing up a mountain to rhythmic yodely music. TPIR was supposed to be in Barker's words, a show that was passed from mother to daughter and now to her son and children. When many of us were sick from school or on vacation, we relied on 'ol Bob to keep our minds off of why we were out of school in the first place.

Of course, Bob retired in 2007, handing that long-stemmed microphone over to Drew Carey. He's kept the show entertaining and modern, attracting younger audiences while using his folksy image to keep the show a hit among its older viewers. Most important - and especially to Barker - is that he kept telling viewers to keep the pet control controlled by spaying and neutering their pets.

For more than 30 years, Carey has been one of the most-beloved comics, actors, Marine vets and game show hosts. He's a man who overcame so much to get to where he is now. At eight years old, he lost his father to a heart attack. Carey himself had one in 2001 which encouraged him to diet and exercise, which not only caused him to lose weight but also cured his diabetes.

Allegedly, Carey is worth $190 million. But not all the money in the world can bring a man happiness.

Carey never married and never had children, though he is a father figure to the son of a woman he was engaged to. In 2018, Carey announced his engagement to sex therapist Amie Harwick, but later that year, the engagement was called off. Sadly, Harwick was found murdered earlier this week in front of her home near Hollywood. She was just 38. Harwick was pushed from her third story window by her ex-boyfriend, whom she had a restraining order against. On Monday, Carey tweeted, "I hope you’re lucky enough to have someone in your life that loves as much as she did."

Since Harwick's death, many of her and Carey's fans have shown lots of love and support for the two. TPIR canceled tapings for this week so Carey could grieve, though they are planning to resume next week.

But leave it to lowly daytime talk show host Wendy Williams to throw gasoline onto the fire.

On her program Tuesday, Williams was talking about Harwick's murder when she said TPIR's catchphrase "COME ON DOWN!" referring to when her ex threw her off the balcony. It was meant to be a joke, but it turned out to be a giant groaner among her audience.

It seems that Williams' show is mostly on shitty stations. Here in Grand Rapids, she's on WOTV 41, whose sole purpose is to be the de facto over-the-air ABC affiliate for Kalamazoo and Battle Creek. Her only other Michigan affiliate is Detroit's Fox 2.

Williams has received mega amounts of backlash regarding her botched joke. On Twitter, people bashed her simply because she was a victim of classless domestic violence. People who knew Harwick personally have called Williams to apologize for her tasteless joke. Even Jack Osbourne - Ozzy's son - called Amie a friend bashed Williams. Shinedown's Zach Myers also called Williams a piece of shit. Many have been nice enough to post Williams' infamous collapse on live TV three years ago.

How ironic that her name is Wendy. When I was a kid, there was a big, fat, white trash girl at my school also named Wendy. She smelled so bad that I literally retched every time I was near her. Same with my classmates. She was as ugly on the outside as Williams is on the inside.

Williams was also recently bashed for making fun of actor Joaquin Phoenix's facial scar and told gay men to stop dressing like women. 1) Joaquin is a very bright and talented actor unlike Wendy and 2) if a man wants to cross dress, let them. Don't tell me or anyone else what to wear or bash me because I was born with something that God gave me.

I know, I can be mean at times. Years ago, I poked fun at Rush Limbaugh because he now had a weird wire on his head. It's a cochlear implant that was installed after he went deaf. Some guy who had a kid with a cochlear wrote a mean letter to me. Well, guess what? RUSH HAD TO HAVE THE IMPLANT BECAUSE HIS DEAFNESS WAS CAUSED BY HIM POPPING OXYS! Sorry, not sorry. If it makes you happy, I once dated a woman with a cochlear. She turned into a cunt. But as for Rush, who is now dying of lung cancer, he smoked for years and I don't feel too bad for him.

If one died and they were an asshole, yes, I don't mind bashing them and pissing on their grave. But Amie Harwick was a brilliant, smart young lady whose death shouldn't have been made fun of. I hope Wendy Williams gets canceled and will disappear from the face of the Earth. That ugly, dog-faced crackwhore should take her Oprah wannabe show, turn it sideways and shove it up her fat ghetto ass.

Wendy Williams is the one who needs to be spayed and neutered.
