It was nice while it lasted, but at least it ain't over.

Last Friday, while Drumpf was being transported to Walter Reed, the Republican-led Michigan Supreme Court ruled that Governor Gretchen Whitmer's stay-at-home orders were unconstitutional.

The Michigan high court ruled that the 1945 law that Whitmer cited for her executive orders was not constitutional enough to maintain them. However, a 1976 law that was passed could still be used, which allows lawmakers to make their own decisions.

Meanwhile, Attorney General Dana Nessel has announced that she will no longer prosecute anyone trying to break the governor's orders. Her press secretary, Ryan Jarvi released a statement, saying that she hopes that people still continue to wear masks and practice social distancing.

Many in the scientific community have long-praised Whitmer's orders for helping to move Michigan from being in the top five states with people suffering from COVID to 16th place. However, some have trashed the governor for hurting small business in the process. Here in west Michigan, a family-owned cinema group in Fremont and Muskegon had to declare bankruptcy. Several other small businesses such as restaurants and clothing stores also had to shutter.

Without a doubt, the Michigan SC's decision to bitchslap Whitmer is good news for those who don't wear masks or even wash their hands. Now with Drumpf battling COVID himself, it will be interesting to know if he will better enforce COVID laws to stop the spread of the disease. Sadly, it's doubtful. After all, look at Florida: it's #2 in active cases of the disease and the state has virtually reopened.

The good news is that the Michigan Department of Health has instituted their own rules, similar to the Governor's. However, under their rules, all Michigan restaurants and movie theaters can reopen at 25% capacity. And yes, masks will still be mandatory.

Folks, this is why America sucks in comparison to other nations on Earth: WE'RE STUCK WITH ASSHOLE RETHUGS WHO DON'T FUCKING BELIEVE IN SCIENCE. These fucknuts all believe that we're all going to be OK if we get COVID and all's well with a nice, steaming bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup.

Just today, Michigan recorded 1,214 new cases. I was almost one of them. Yesterday at work, we were notified that a fellow employee got the disease. They did say that her department was cleaned and sanitized top to bottom. But since there's three people in my department, we mutually decided to get tested. Well, my test and one of my co-worker's tests came back negative, so all's well.

Look, YOU DON'T HAVE ANY FREEDOMS WITH YOU'RE IN A CASKET THAT'S SIX FEET UNDER! I don't give a flying fuck if you think you're OK getting COVID. 1) you can get it again and 2) it will permanently affect your organs. I feel terrible for anybody who got the disease and especially those who died from it. It can happen to anyone. Just look at the families who are suffering from losing a loved one from the virus. Chances are, they might have gotten it from someone who are now virus-free. This is why we need to all wear masks in public and maintain social distancing until the pandemic ends.

Thanks to the Repukes, the anti-maskers in America practice something called "freedumb": they are free to be dumb.
