It was 50 years ago this year that one of the most-iconic songs from an ex-Beatle was released.
"Instant Karma!" was bestowed upon us by John Lennon and the Plastic Ono Band January 27, 1970, just a few months - albeit unofficially - after John, Paul, George and Ringo called it quits. It's hard to believe it, but John Winston Ono Lennon was way ahead of his time, especially now that we're dealing with a president who downplayed COVID-19.
And now, allegedly, he, himself has the disease.
When I woke up Friday morning, I turned on the TV. Lo-and-behold, WOOD-TV here in Grand Rapids was reporting that Drumpf and first ho Melanoma had the virus. Apparently, Drumpf contracted COVID-19 from hanging out with Hope Hicks, who had the virus.
Since Drumpf's alleged diagnosis, many around him have also tested positive for COVID, including Wisconsin senator Ron Johnson (R), RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, former New Jersey governor Chris Christie and Drumpf assistant Nicholas Luna. Just today, press secretary Kayleigh McEnany announced that she has COVID-19.
On Friday's episode of the podcast Southpaws, host Darren Gibson claimed that he didn't believe that Drumpf had the virus because everything from the White House has been a bonafide lie. He also claimed that Drumpf possibly didn't want to do any more debates with Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, given his disastrous performance Tuesday night. Needless to say, the world is being told one thing by the Drumpf camp and other things close to Drumpf.
Drumpf's COVID-19 diagnosis is bad news for him since he's 74 and overweight. At 6'3", he should weigh between 150 to 200 lbs. His BMI is just over 30, causing concern for his health. All those Big Macs and Diet Cokes have taken its toll on his health.
On Friday night, Drumpf was sent via helicopter to Walter Reed where he stayed until tonight, when he went back to the White House. On Sunday, he went out of the hospital for a short time to do a motorcade around the hospital, greeting his minions. Wow! What the thing to do when you have an outrageously dangerous disease: ask your crew to take you out for a drive.
The question is, is what Drumpf is doing even SAFE? Does he REALLY have COVID-19? Why is the White House saying one thing and those who have heard otherwise saying another? Plus, if he was allegedly doing OK, why was he on steroids?
I, like Lennon, can both agree that karma is a very good thing, especially if a lot of bad shit happened to you in your lifetime. Instead of wanting to improve healthcare, education and even the economy, Drumpf wanted to dump billions of taxpayer money into a wall. He hired unqualified, wealthy idiots to run his cabinet, like Betsy DeVos. He ignored science, and at the end of the day, his ignorance has killed over 200,000 innocent people. He is the worst president in American history.
Sadly, Biden is playing the "good sportsmanship" card and pulled all of his negative ads on TV trashing Drumpf. At least his latest crop of commercials talk about his plans as president, as opposed to Hillary Clinton unleashing a shit ton of attack ads and having ZERO commercials talking about her plans as president (which, BTW, was do virtually everything Obama did until donors give her money to stop). However, on Sunday, I did see an ad that I first saw months ago from Priorities USA attacking Drumpf on his ignorance toward COVID-19.
Look, we gotta get Drumpf out of the White House. With the election less than a month away, I'm happy that my home state of Michigan allows absentee voting for all. Thank God for Gretchen Whitmer. At least she's not like Texas' asshole governor Greg Abbott, who is now limiting one ballot box per county. Simply put, the Repukes know that America is a mostly-liberal nation and they'll stop at NOTHING but to silence those who know the truth. It's pathetic, since Texas hasn't had a decent governor since the late, great Ann Richards 30 years ago. "Poor George, he can't help it. He was born with a silver foot in his mouth", may go down in history as one of the greatest quotes ever said by a governor. As for Abbott, for his Hitler-like policies regarding one ballot box per county, I hope somebody yanks him out of his wheelchair and throws him deep into a forest.
With Drumpf incapable of running the country, COVID or not, I would not shed a tear if he passes. "OH! Pence will be a great president!" FALSE. This asshole used false Biblical propaganda to judge against the LGBTQ+ community. As somebody who has driven through Indiana several times, it explains why the people there love him. Bland and boring. It's time for America to wake up and elect somebody who, true, is borderline senile, but at least he's healthier than our current de facto president.
A president who will let us all shine on, like the moon, the stars and the sun.
