January 6th, 2021 will be a day that will live in infamy.
Yesterday began the Senate trial of Drumpf's second impeachment. As the trial began, the world was greeted with a repeat of the shocking footage taken inside the Capitol during the insurrection. Seven people died and hundreds more were injured in the melee, which started as a protest against certifying Joe Biden as the President of the United States. In the end, it turned into a hellhole of pushing, shoving, pillaging and pure destruction.
Just today, more footage of the attack was shown on TV, showing police and guards escorting everybody to safety. The terrorists were only feet away from attacking vice president Pence, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and others.
If you have an IQ higher than average, you know that the terrorist attack was caused by lies caused by Drumpf. For the longest time, he was telling his minions that no matter what, he was going to win the 2020 election. He did not, and now, he has hell to pay.
The terrorists who unleashed their wrath on Washington were all brainwashed by the likes of Drumpf, Rush Limbaugh, Alex Jones, OANN and the MyPillow guy. They all believed in everything from faulty voting machines to President John F. Kennedy still being alive and well and working as an easy listening DJ in northern Michigan.
Sadly, one person who is wearing his tinfoil hat with pride is Michigan house speaker Mike Shirkey. In a secretly-taped interview at what appears to be a restaurant, Shirkey told the interviewer that the terrorists were "not Drumpf people" and that the insurrection at the Capitol was a hoax.
After the video surfaced, Shirkey apologized, but while talking with Michigan Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist Wednesday, he was captured on a hot mic, backtracking on his comments. He told Gilchrist that he didn't take back any of the points he was making in the video, but that the words he chose were not the right ones.
Michigan's leading Democrat, Sen. Jim Ananich stated, "Today I am more sad than I am angry. I am more disappointed than I am surprised. I’m not going to address any of the specific comments made recently by the senator from the 16th District because I just don’t have the words. But I am going to ask all of, but especially the senator from the 16th District, to reflect on the opening prayer that he gave just this morning. This isn’t the first time that you’ve asked for grace and Lord knows you’ve been given it. I would ask that you please accept it and learn from it. This is a chance for all of us to do some self-reflecting, but especially you, Mike."
Shirkey, a Republican has been critical of Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer for her stay-at-home order. He, along with now-former Michigan house speaker Lee Chatfield apparently worked together to try to help overturn the results of the 2020 election. Chatfield was term-limited out of office (sadly, his replacement, John Damoose is also a Repuke and a former producer of The 700 Club). Thankfully, Shirkey is also going to be term-limited, too. Hopefully, the people of his district will grow a brain and find somebody who doesn't believe in fake theories.
What's next? The terrorists were all CGI?
