Bee-otched For: forcing people to apologize for Rush's death

--

It's sad when people bitch that we should not mock the dead.

But, if that person who just passed was one of the biggest assholes ever, there are exceptions.

As we all know by now, ultra-right-winged conservative goon Rush Limbaugh died after a year-long battle with lung cancer at the age of 70. Aside from the 600 affiliates and 15 million listeners he had, his lone survivor was his golddigger wife Kathryn.

For more than three decades, Limbaugh used his platform for pretty much everything that just wasn't American. He claimed that he had talent "on loan from God" though a lot of the shit he spewed on his show was far from Christian-like. He bashed everyone from women to the LGBTQ+ community, people of color to leftists. His death from lung cancer last week was definitely a "see, I told you so!" moment since he sympathized with the tobacco companies and often was seen smoking a cigar.

It's just too bad that people who didn't like Rush are still being censored by those who embraced his stupidity.

Last week, Appleton, WI butt rocker 105.7 WAPL suspended Len Nelson, half of the Rick and Len morning show for posting on social media a diatribe against the pill-popping, prostitute-fucking asshole. In the post - which has been taken down - Nelson simply attacked Limbaugh for, well, everything I've told you about him.

WAPL's parent, Woodward Radio Group posted "Recently we were made aware of a social media post placed on a personal Facebook page by one of our employees, Len Nelson. His personal views are not reflective of the core values of WAPL nor of Woodward Radio Group. We are deeply committed to being good people. We appreciate our listeners, sponsors and advertisers and want to assure each of you this matter is being addressed swiftly. Thank you for reaching out to us with your concerns, we are listening."

Since the post, Nelson was forced to apologize. "As you might surmise, my actions have come with a personal cost. I’ve been indefinitely suspended from my job on the WAPL morning show and it’s possible, after further consideration by the company, that I will be terminated. I understand their decision but I hope in the coming days to work together with management to find a resolution which will allow me to continue to serve WRG, a company I’ve greatly enjoyed working for, by doing the job I’ve loved for decades. I remain willing to take whatever steps that might entail and I look forward to the opportunity. That my foolish and incendiary Facebook activity has jeopardized that is a hard shot to take but it’s one with which I must and will deal. To those of you with whom I’ve admittedly sparred too harshly, I sincerely apologize. I should have had more respect for each of you. To those of you who have supported me along the way, thank you. But please do me a favor and take a moment to do what I have done here. We should all reconsider how we interact with those with whom we have differences. There must be a better way than the path I’ve too often tread. I wish I had done such self-reflection earlier but I believe we can all learn from our mistakes. I’ve taken a look into the mirror and what I saw is not the best person nor the best employee I can be. I pledge to try harder and be better."

Woodward, based in Dubuque, IA, owns six radio stations; none of them aired Limbaugh. Most of the stations are in the Green Bay area, including active rock Razor 94.7/104.7, CHR 95.9 Kiss FM and sports 1570 The Score.

Sadly, Nelson is not the only person under fire for bashing the Windbag.

Amanda Fisk is the mayor of Middleville, Michigan, pop. 3,500. When Limbaugh died last week, she wrote on her Facebook account "HAHAHAHAHA *deep breath* HAHAHAHAHA". Since then, many residents of the small town between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo have called for her resignation, including Keara Hilton, who started an online petition to recall Fisk. In Hilton's petition, she claimed that Fisk violated her role as mayor by using her social platform to spread meanness towards somebody who died from cancer. The funny thing is that Hilton claimed that she herself never listened to the show. However, she started the petition because she herself is battling cancer.

Since the start of the recall, Fisk has apologized for her post. Even her apology was taken down as well. As of tonight, over 2,800 people have signed the petition, very likely people who don't live in Middleville. Hilton, 44, describes herself on her Twitter profile as a "Happily married, Christian mother of 5 amazing daughters." Her two LinkedIn accounts states that she once homeschooled her kids and now works for the STS Foundation, which brings foreign exchange students to America. Plus, she's an event manager for Midwest Tactical Training, which basically teaches people to fire guns.

Folks, I have a distant cousin who was once in Ms. Fisk's shoes and was a mayor of a much-smaller town in the Grand Rapids area, but has since retired. Every year, I'd ask him if he missed being the mayor, and he always said "no" because in order to be a mayor, you have to live in a glass house. He's right. The sad reality of holding public office is that you're not chocolate. You can't please everyone. The painful truth is that Hilton cries that she doesn't listen to Rush's show and doesn't realize that he did worse things than to laugh at someone's death. He mocked those with AIDS and disabilities like Parkinson's, mainly Michael J. Fox. He called a woman a "slut" because she wanted birth control to be recognized by Obamacare. It just goes on and on.

One of the lessons I've learned in life is that if you're on the left and you make a bold move and attack somebody more conservative than you, you can get screwed. Look at The (Dixie) Chicks, Colin Kaepernick and even me. My friend Darren Gibson from the radio show Southpaws got fired from WPRR Radio here in Grand Rapids only because he refused to vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016 over the DNC's screwing over of Bernie Sanders. When he was forced out the door, his listeners - including me - followed. Now, they're an urban AC with hardly any listeners.

However, if you're a conservative and you say worse things, eh, no biggie. Yes, when Rush attacked Sandra Fluke, he lost advertisers. But, guess how many radio stations canned him on the spot? ONE! It was some station in the middle of nowhere, sadly.

I know, conservative talk radio will live on through Sean Hannity, Dave Ramsey (who thinks that we can all become millionaires at $8 per hour), Mark Levin and Glenn Beck to name a few. However, it deserves to die a painful, slow death because it has brainwashed Americans into thinking that they can accept suffering. Tragically, Rush was a bully and it's a shame that some Jebus freak cunt karen in Middleville, MI wants the mayor kicked out over a post she made on Facebook, mocking his death.

Bear in mind that Middleville is in Barry County, the home of right-winged extremist sheriff Dar Leaf. Barf.

Look, nobody needs to bow to Rush, nor his brainwashed fans. He was a bully and was just like The Sorcerer's Apprentice, breaking a boom to create an army of brooms. As the aforementioned radio hosts get older and probably look to retirement, so is their current audience. Nobody under the age of 50 listens to AM radio! The only AM stations that might survive in years to come are those with FM translators like Magic 104.9 here in Grand Rapids.

If I was forced to apologize for having an opinion that hurts a bully, I would tell them to fire me now. Everybody has the right to have hatred towards an evil person. It's like telling a Jew that they have no right to hate Hitler. I don't care if some assholes think that it's "unprofessional". Rush is gone, get over it.

Of course, some will cry that "Heaven needed Rush than we needed him". Problem was, I don't think he's up there playing a harp and with wings attached to him.
