2.15.21 Bee-otches of the Day: the senators that didn't vote to convict Trump

Well, we tried again and failed.

On Saturday, the senate voted 57-43 to acquit Drumpf for his involvement regarding the January 6th insurrection. Six Republican senators broke from the party to vote for his conviction. True, most of the senate voted against Drumpf, but there had to be a 2/3 majority for him to lose.

After his acquittal, the currently-reclusive Drumpf released a statement thanking his lawyers and called the impeachment trial a "witch hunt". He also commented on the "75 million people" who voted for him, when in fact, it was only 74.2 million while Biden got 81.2 million votes. But, numbers are numbers. Drumpf also stated that his "historic, patriotic and beautiful movement to Make America Great Again has only just begun", once again hinting that he'll run again in 2024. 

Not shockingly, one senator who voted to not convict Drumpf was the good 'ol Kentucky turdle (and yes, I spelled it right), Mitch McConnell. The senate minority leader stated that even though he had tough words for Drumpf, impeachment should not be his biggest charge. Right now, Drumpf has several cases against him, mainly with his real estate dealings.

Sadly, at least one congresswoman - Liz Cheney of Wyoming - and one senator - Louisiana's Bill Cassidy - were censured by their states for not supporting the former de facto president. Those two should be instead lauded for putting people in front of party.

Since Drumpf has been acquitted and he still has his fans, it's scary to know that he might start considering a 2024 run when the time is right for him. But right now, President Biden is busy cleaning up all the messes he started. 

Folks, nobody should be above the law, not even the POTUS. Drumpf was, and always will be a shady businessman who only cares about himself. He's the least-transparent president I've ever saw in my whole fucking life and I hope that if he dies before he's ever convicted, he will burn in hell for the shit he left every intelligent American. 

Don't forget that not all of us can be wealthy and have had the whole world handed to us.
