Bee-otches of the Day: Nexstar and Sinclair Broadcasting

Summarizing today's podcast...

*Jimmy Kimmel is back hitting his late night talk show after ABC suspended him.

*The media erroneously claimed that Kimmel was suspended for mocking Charlie Kirk's death. It was really because he blasted Trump for talking about the new Rose Garden instead of what he felt about losing Kirk.

*After Kimmel was suspended, Disney lost $4 billion and many discontinued their Disney + streaming service.

*58 stations owned by Sinclair and Nexstar will not air Jimmy Kimmel's show. Sinclair wants Kimmel to donate to Turning Point.

*Nexstar's two ABC stations in Michigan overlap with other ABC affiliates that air Kimmel. However, Sinclair's lone ABC in Michigan, Traverse City's WGTU 29&8, has long been a lousy station.

*Chuck reminds people that he started this blog because local CBS station WWTV 9&10 dropped Howard Stern's Saturday night show for NRA infomercials.

*People have impersonated the president forever and most have a sense of humor about it. Not Trump.

*The sole social media post Kimmel made during his suspension was a picture of him and TV producer Norman Lear. Kimmel was to Trump as Lear was to Richard Nixon.

*Chuck compares Trump to a businessman who ran his companies into the ground. He also talked about the incident where Joe Short of Short's Brewery in northern Michigan worked with a disgruntled customer after he trashed his brewpub because of poor service.

*Chuck reads through a list of advertisers on Sinclair and Nexstar stations in Grand Rapids and northern Michigan.

*Lastly, Chuck thinks that ABC should strip their affiliations from Nexstar and Sinclair.
