---
The same man who told Big Bird to grow his wings and fly away is now using a term used in an old Disney movie.

That movie, by the way is 1946's Song of the South, which has been out of print for years due to, ahem, obvious reasons.

Colorado US Rep. Doug Lamborn has apologized to President Obama for comparing him to (surprise) a tar baby. In an interview with a Denver radio station, the Tea Party member said "Even if some people say, ‘Well the Republicans should have done this or they should have done that,’ they will hold the President responsible. Now, I don't even want to have to be associated with him. It's like touching a tar baby and you get it, you're stuck, and you’re a part of the problem now and you can’t get away."

In his apology letter, written by a staffer, Lamborn claims that he should have used the term "quagmire" instead. Really? I mean, this dude was born in Kansas but lives in Colorado. He's not a southerner! So, why is he using a term that offends many blacks and others? Oh, because his cronies such as Mitt Romney and John McCain have used it. OK! Nothing to see here.

Look. This is nothing more than yet another Tea Party jerk who loves to use racism as a tool. Just another idiot who has turned our president from a man who was getting the job done into another Stepin Fetchit. Tea Party Republican: "President Obama, we have a bill we want you to sign that will keep taxes low for us rich folks while the working class who voted for you get screwed. Could you please sign this or else this country will lose its AAA rating?" Obama: "Yes, suh! yes suh! I sho' is gon' sighn this heah bill! Yes suh!"

But, you get what you vote for folks. When the Repukes take over anything, We can keep kissing jobs goodbye and the lawmakers responsible for it get out of line and call the president racist rhetoric. Thankfully, he's up for reelection in 2012.

If Obama's smart, he'd lure this jerk into a bear trap with wads of money like he was Br'er Rabbit.
