7.31.13 Bee-otch of the Day: Rush Limbaugh

Bee-otch of the Day honors are awarded Monday through Thursday, Bee-otch of the Week is awarded Friday on

Name: Rush Limbaugh
Age: 62
Occupation: right-winged hate talker
Last Seen: West Palm Beach, FL
Bee-otched For: prepping to lose big time

Years ago, I chastised Cumulus for dumping Howard Stern from all of their stations.

Not to mention, they canned the Dixie Chicks from their stations because of Natalie Maines' criticizing of Bush.

But now, Cumulus Media is proving that they're an equal opportunity canceler.

News is erupting from all over that the second-largest media company is getting ready to dump both Rush Limabugh and Sean Hannity from their stations later this year because of money issues. Cumulus claims that the problems began when Limbaugh called a female law student a "slut" on his show last year. The quip cost Cumulus a ton of sponsors for both Rush and Hannity because sponsors now realized that associating themselves with right-winged bigotry was no longer cool.

Bear in mind that Cumulus does syndicate many of their own shows, such as Mike Huckabee, Geraldo Rivera and Michael Savage. Cumulus owns many Rush affiliates in Michigan, including WKMI Kalamazoo, WJIM Lansing and a biggie, WJR Detroit.

Oh, and Rush's flagship, WABC New York, is owned by - you guessed it - Cumulus.

Thankfully for Rush, all three aforementioned markets have other talk stations, such as WKZO Kalamazoo, WILS Lansing and I'll betcha that Clear Channel will flip long-struggling WDFN to talk to accommodate Rush's proposed move. Let's not forget also that Clear Channel now owns WOR New York.

Ya know, Slutgate damn near killed Rush and the repercussions are still bringing him down. I'm happy that one big radio group is pissed over his idiotic comments. A man who's been married many times has shown why no woman will ever truly love him. Just another hate-filled righty whose advertisers have all abandoned him.

Rush, don't let the door hit your ass.
