The ill-fated congressional careers of Todd Courser and Cindy Gamrat was without a doubt one of the hottest stories of last year and on this site, the hottest, period, earning the two the Bee-otches of the Year. The two earned their stripes for using taxpayer money to hide their illicit affair, which led to their fall from grace.
Now, the two lovebirds could be seeing steel.
Yesterday, the two were arraigned in Lansing for using taxpayer money. Gamrat received two felonies while Courser got four. Gamrat could be behind bars for five years, Courser could see 15. According to Gamrat's lawyer, he compares the case to a young child beating at the pinata long after the candy has been drained out. A lot of finger-pointing has been directed at Bill Schuette, the state's Attorney General for wanting to continue punishing Courser and Gamrat for what they've done.
Ya know, the two fucked up and they need to pay for their sins. It's funny that Gamrat was gung ho about trying to defund Planned Parenthood over those fake videos that caused its authors to go to jail. Now, she's the one who could be proudly don an orange suit for the next five years while Courser could be doing the same. So much for their so-called "Christian" values.
