Occupation: Howard Stern wannabe Last Seen: Cleveland, OH Bee-otched For: saying something that's not cool --- Don'cha just love the fact that when Clear Channel told the world that they were going to purge themselves of all their shock jocks, they only got rid of Howard Stern and Bubba the Love Sponge only because they were slammed with Notices of Apparent Liability from the FCC? Now, they have another problem on their hands, and it's the morning show on their heritage rock station in Cleveland. Dominic Dieter, one of the sidekicks of morning man Rover on WMMS 100.7 has been suspended from Clear Channel for making sickening comments about a young lesbian. On the show some time last week, a father wrote in and told the crew that he caught his young teenage daughter in the act of kissing another girl in her bedroom. He asked what he should do. Dieter responded by saying that he should "get a friend to screw her straight". Dieter's comments angered his fellow co-workers and many started to complain about his off-color comments. Several pro-gay groups like GLAAD have stepped in, and they have talked with station management about the situation. Many gay groups have also proclaimed that comments like Dieter's promote LGBT bullying and even worse, suicide. Rover's Morning Glory airs on WMMS and was once syndicated through CBS when the show was based at 92.3 K-Rock. When Howard Stern left CBS in 2006, Rover's show was one of three programs the company used to replace his show as part of the ill-fated "Free FM" format. The other two programs were hosted by Adam Carolla for the west coast and David Lee Roth for the east coast. I believe that Rover's show was the first to get canned mainly due poor ratings and reviews. I remember people saying that the show was fake and just wasn't funny. Of course, what do you expect from the company that's given us the likes of Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh? Exactly. Dominic Dieter should be FIRED for his moronic comments. Young teens need all the support they can get from their parents regarding their sexuality. Any parent whose kid is LGBT and doesn't support him or her is a total asshole. I think it's God himself who makes people gay because that's the way he plans. It's not a lifestyle choice, that's their life.
